Players are introduced to kid pitch, but coach will assist. 10U Baseball $120.00 Youth ages 9 - 10. Evaluation required. Player will be slotted in the appropriate section based on skill level. 12U Baseball $120.00 Youth ages 11 - 12. Evaluation required. Player will be slotted in the appropriate section based on skill level. 14U Baseball $150.00 Youth ages 13 - 14. Evaluation required. Player will be slotted in the appropriate section based on skill level. *** Fees above do not include uniform which you will purchase after you register. Info will be provided after registration. Player Evaluations For those kids playing 8U, 10U, 12U, or 14U baseball we will be holding player evaluations. There are no evaluations for tee-ball. We will be using these evaluations to place kids at the appropriate playing level so it is very important to attend. If you are unable to attend the evaluations please let the level coordinator know (contact info below). 8U - Saturday, January 20 - time slot between 9 and 1pm @ Marticville Middle School 10U - Saturday, January 20 - time slot between 1pm and 6pm @ Marticville Middle School 12U - Saturday, January 27 - time slot between 3pm and 9pm @ Penn Manor High School West Gym 14U - Sunday, January 21 - time slot between 2pm and 5pm @ Penn Manor High School West Gym Sign Up for Eval Time Slot by going to the below link: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/409084ba4a822a57-sign Winter Training Penn Manor Youth Baseball (PMYB) is setting up clinics for the Winter months to keep the boys active and continually improving their skills. PMYB will be holding Winter Training on Friday nights from January 11, 2019 through March 1, 2019. The focus of the sessions will be dedicated to teaching the correct fundamentals and skills that your child will need to be a successful baseball player. Any player who will be playing 10U, 12U, or 14U in the Spring are encouraged to sign up. You must be playing for PMYB in the Spring to attend these training sessions. • Winter Training @ Spooky Nook - These sessions will run from 6-8pm and your child will spend 1 hour on the indoor baseball field working on fielding, throwing, and base running and will then have 1 hour in the batting cages. The cost is $75. Space limited to 70 players. REGISTER: You can register by logging in to your account at pennmanoryouthbaseball.com For our 8U players we are working on setting up some gym time for some clinics later in the Winter.     Pioneers of Penn Manor Marking 40 Years of Comet Football by Todd Mealy, Head Football Coach, 2007 to present Penn Manor was tied with Manheim Central 27 – 27 with just seconds to play when Tom Herr attempted a 29-yard field goal to win the game. The kick fell short and was caught by the Barons’ star athlete, Tom Roland, who returned the missed try over 100 yards for a score. As Roland ran down the field for the go ahead touchdown, Penn Manor Coach Bill Beck was praying for a miracle. “I was hoping for a ruling that he stepped out of bounds,” Beck later admitted. Beck’s prayer was answered. Because Roland caught the ball in his end zone, it was ruled a touchback and the ball was brought back to the 20. The game ended one play Bill Beck, 1968 later in a tie. Two weeks later Penn Manor defeated Donegal in its last Section II contest and clinched the school’s first section championship. That was 1974 and the Comets finished the year 8-1-1. Coach Beck was voted QB Club Coach of the Year. An amazing success for the Penn Manor team as it was just the program’s third year of varsity football. November 6, 2009 Penn Manor’s football history is complex. Manor 150th ANNIVERSARY: Township High School (present-day Penn Manor) introduced football in 1922. The team was coached by November 6, 1869 is identified as the date of the popular local athletes, namely Frederick Pieffer and first formal football game, Abram Herr, and played a mix of high school and played between Princeton collegiate competition.

    Activities Club This club guides students in creating, planning, and carrying out opportunities for peer interaction during and outside of the normal school day. There are also leadership positions available in this club. We have a president and vice president of our club who help run the meetings and make necessary phone calls with advisor guidance. Activities that we have helped the students plan and participate in include: Going to the movies, Dances, Game nights, Bowling, Miniature Golfing, Football games, Basketball games, Shopping at the mall, Going out to dinner, Activity nights at student's houses, etc. Advisors: Mrs. McMichael & Mrs. Taylor Meeting Day: Thursday in Room 239 How to join: Application Aevidum The founder of Aevidum (Ah-veed-um) is Joe Vulopas (Voo-low-pas). The club was started in 2004 at Cocalico High School. It's a student-led group that raises awareness about depression and suicide. The goal of the group is to create a culture where mental wellness is embraced and each member of the community feels supported by a theme of "I've got your back." The club empowers students to take responsibility to make a difference. Penn Manor started an Aevidum club in 2013, but the club is now nationwide, including schools in Delaware, California, and Pennsylvania. Other Lancaster County schools that promote Aevidum are Hempfield, Warwick, Lancaster Mennonite, and Lancaster Catholic. Aevidum is for all grade levels - elementary, middle school, and high school, and it is even spreading to the college level: Penn State is the first to initiate this. Aevidum has been recognized by Pennsylvania State Senate and the Pennsylvania House and the nation's top mental health experts.

    2008 Athletic Wall of Honor “Old Timers” Inductees Sam Brown (Coach at Manor High School from 1928-1944) Sam coached Basketball, Baseball, Track & Field, and Swimming. He was best known for his success as the basketball & baseball coach. His track team won the Tri-County Championship in 1928. In 1942 his swim team won the Lancaster County Championship. Gerald Dunkle (Class of 1953) Gerry was a three-sport athlete in Soccer, Basketball, and Baseball. In 1952 his baseball team was Section and Lancaster County High School Championship. Gerry’s soccer team was the Lancaster County Scholastic League Champs in 1952. In 1953 his basketball team was Section and County Championships. He also played soccer and baseball at F & M College. Gerry was invited to tryout for the Phillies and Dodgers baseball teams in 1953. Richard Erisman (Class of 1952) Dick was a three-sport athlete at Manor High School, where he participated in Soccer, Basketball, and Baseball. His soccer team won the Lancaster County Championship in 1951. His basketball team was League Co-Champs. Dick was also a member of the Basketball & Baseball teams at Millersville College. Harry Frey (Class of 1958) Harry is well known in the Penn Manor community as an outstanding athlete and coach. He participated in Soccer, Basketball, and Baseball during his High School career. As a High School athlete, Harry was named 1st team All-County in both Basketball and Soccer. Harry continued to play soccer and basketball at West Chester University. After graduation from college, Harry returned to Penn Manor as a teacher and coach.
