For enquiry, please contact Mr. Kevin Lo at [email protected] or Mr. Dennis Wong at [email protected] . 香港分部 HONG KONG Introduction: The Tseung Kwan O – Lam Tin Tunnel (TKO-LT Tunnel) is a dual-two lane highway of approximately 4.2 km long, connecting Tseung Kwan O and East Kowloon. To maintain good communication with different stakeholders, the Community Liaison Centre (CLC) of the project has been organizing various site visits for the industry and the general public. As there is a considerable amount of geotechnical works within the project (e.g. site formation, slope, tunneling, foundation works, etc.), it is a good chance for the Fellows of the Geological Society and university students to have an overview of the project, the site geology as well as the engineering geological input to this project. The visit lasts for around 2 hours and the programme is as follows: Programme: 9:30 – 10:15 Project Briefing at CLC Centre 10:15 – 10:45 Briefing of Lam Tin Interchange Site and Group Photo near Yau Lai Estate Carpark (Vantage Point) 10:45 – 11:30 Discussion at CLC Centre 11:30 – TBC Dismiss and Lunch at Domain Mall, Yau Tong (Optional) To foster the relationship and communication among the fellows of the geological society and the university students, you are also welcomed to join our lunch afterwards. The venue for lunch will be one of the restaurants at Domain Mall, Yau Tong. Note: 1. Neither Green Card nor Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required. 2. Please note that neither the Society nor other parties concerned accept any liability in connection with the event. 3. Participants should reserve sufficient time to travel from the Yau Tong MTR Station to the Community Liaison Centre. 4. For participants who are joining for lunch, please note that the Society will not cover the expense for the lunch. 香港分部 HONG KONG About the Speaker: Mr. Kevin Lo Mr. Kevin Lo is a Resident Geologist with AECOM Engineer’s Office under Tseung Kwan O – Lam Tin Tunnel Project. Mr. Lo graduated from HKU with a BSc in Geology and joined the Geotechnical Engineering Office as an Engineering Geology Graduate in August 2017. He is currently seconded to the Resident Site Supervision Team of AECOM under the TKO-LT Tunnel Project. Suggested transportation to the Community Liaison Centre: Participants can get off at Yau Tong MTR Station and walk from Exit B1 or B2 (which takes around 5-10 minutes).
