CURRENT STATUS

Since October 2007: Research Scientist (CR1, HDR) at IRD, UMR ENTROPIE. Main research topic: ‘Connectivity of coral reef ecosystems to help marine biodiversity conservation and management of marine resources’. My research activities focus on population genetics and phylogeography of coral reefs organisms, with emphasis on connectivity of coral reef organisms and the impact of natural/anthropogenic disturbance on the genetic diversity and geographic structuring of marine populations.

COMPETENCES AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

 Extensive fieldwork/diving experience in marine environment (French Polynesia, New Caledonia, Indonesia, Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Hawaii, Lesser Antilles, Mayotte, Red Sea, Mediterranean Sea, Madagascar) including post-larvae collection and rearing - Fieldwork experience in tropical rainforests (French Polynesia, Panama, Indonesia).  Molecular techniques: Experienced with various molecular techniques (extractions, PCR, electrophoresis, cloning, sequencing…), in characterizing genetic markers (allozymes, EPIC-PCR, microsatellites, mtDNA), on different DNA fragments analyzers (ABI, Li-Cor, Pharmacia Biotech, Beckman Coulter).
