ATPI Alerts Travel Opportunities per Country during Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The world is still changing by the hour during this COVID pandemic outbreak. Many travel bans are being eased or lifted and other countries still extend or expand their current travel bans. Airlines slowly start up their network again, although with lower capacity. Our 3-weekly update informs you in short about the latest information.

Areas & airports opening or softening restrictions

AREAS & AIRPORTS:

• New Zealand: Update: Auckland ends week-long COVID-19 lockdown • New Zealand: Update: Flights to Cook Islands to resume after Auckland's COVID-19 lockdown ends • Israel: Update: Government to ease COVID-19 restrictions, and open borders, starting 7 March • Thailand: Government to reduce COVID-19 quarantine for vaccinated foreigners to 7 days from April

AIRLINES / TRAIN:

• Japan, : Japan Airlines begins flights between Tokyo and from 22 April • Germany, Kazakhstan: Update: Lufthansa resumes regular flights from Nur-Sultan, Almaty to Frankfurt in May • China, Tanzania: Air Tanzania to operate flights to Guangzhou from 20 March amid COVID-19 restrictions • Pakistan: Pakistan International Airlines resumes flights between Lahore and Islamabad after suspension because of COVID-19 • , : Update: Buta Airways to resume flights between and from 1 April amid COVID-19 pandemic

• Africa, Middle East: Update: Morocco bans flights to, from Egypt, Algeria until 21 March because of COVID-19 • Brazil, Portugal, U.K.: Update: Portuguese government requires 14-day quarantine on indirect flights from Brazil, U.K. • Mauritius: Authorities suspend inbound international flights until 15 March after several local COVID-19 cases reported; flights from Mauritius to Rodrigues Island also halted • Kuwait: Update: Government reintroduces night-time curfew through 8 April, extends ban on entry for non-Kuwaiti nationals until further notice because of COVID-19 • Greece: Update: Civil Aviation Authority extends restrictions on domestic, international flights until 16, 22 March respectively because of COVID-19 • East Timor: Authorities impose lockdown on Dili until 15 March because of COVID-19 concerns; travel by land, sea, air banned

AIRLINES / TRAIN:

• Egypt, Morocco: Update: EgyptAir suspends its flights to Casablanca until further notice after Moroccan authorities temporarily ban flights from, to Egypt because of COVID-19 • Nigeria, United Arab Emirates: Update: Emirates extends suspension of flights from Lagos and Abuja until 20 March
