It is the Welsh Government senior official with responsibility for managing the TVR account, who attends meetings. We have no voting rights at the company Board meetings but the person attending can make informal observations, though it is not within the remit of the role of the observer to make an active contribution in any decision making. The main function of the observer is to monitor discussions. Prior to committing to the share purchase, we commissioned commercial and legal due diligence from the Automotive Sector Team within KPMG, Hugh James Solicitors and also received advice from Finance Wales, drawing on their broad experience of this type of transaction.
