To be a member of the IC is such a privilege ! How wonderful to be part of a group of people who love tennis, who have played for their country, who have made friends through tennis throughout the world, and now want to ‗give back‘ to the sport they have enjoyed so much. And yet, when approaching new members to join the IC, often the first question they ask is, ―What‘s in it for me?‖ Lets apply the famous words of JFK to our situation and say, ‖Ask not what the IC can do for you—ask what you can do for the IC.‖ Here is your opportunity to ‗give back‘ to the world of tennis. There are many ways you can get involved:

 Africa Junior Challenge needs volunteers to help organise this event (see story on page 3)

 Donations of tennis racquets, tennis shoes and tennis balls are always gratefully received for underprivileged players

 Cash donations towards the development programme or the Africa Junior Challenge will be most welcome

 Get your company to sponsor umbrellas, refreshments, give-aways/gifts for the Africa Junior Challenge

 Arrange for a case of good SA wine to be shipped to the UK for the Charity Ball auction (our Development grant comes from funds raised here)

 Sponsor t-shirts for our Development and Africa Junior Challenge kids and the staff/officials (from 20 to 100)

 Take part in the social events organised by the IC so that you can become more involved Please contact Terrey Schweitzer or Leonie Grondel or any committee member, if you can help in any way. Leonie [email protected] 0828717885 Terrey [email protected] 0824570833
