Vol 8 Issue 42 2015 ININ THISTHIS ISSUEISSUE Website www.genews-ezine.com GE News 8th year in publication Some of us Geeks may have known a Popular Culture Expo that happened around October in Melbourne. It was called “Armageddon”! This year it changed its name to AMC – Australian Movie & Comic expo www.amcexpo.com.au. With a wide range of guests from Supernatural (the two Meg’s) Nicki Aycox and Rachel Miner, John Wesley Shipp from The Flash, (the original and now The Flash’s dad) with Detective Eddie Thawne ‐ Rick Cosnett. Arrow’s, Michael Rowe, Sean Maher and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D’s, Dichen Lachman and Continuum’s Garza – Luvia Petersen. Of course no Expo is complete without actors from the Stargate francize, this time all three series were represented Corin Nemec (SG‐1), Rainbow Sun Francks (Atlantis) and Lou Diamond Philips (Universe). Bernie Kopell’s panel was especially fun (Siegfried, Get Smart), at 82, he still showed his quick wit to the audience. Make sure you put AMC in your diary for October next year go to their webpage and Facebook to keep up to date and see who is coming next year. The series follows the lives of employees at the fictional Sacred Heart teaching hospital. The title is a play on surgical scrubs and a term for a low-ranking person because at the beginning of the series, most of the main characters were medical interns. The series features fast-paced screenplay, slapstick, and surreal vignettes presented mostly as the daydreams of the central character, Dr. John "J.D." Dorian, who is played by Zach Braff. Actors starring alongside Braff in the first eight seasons included Sarah Chalke Donald Faison, Neil Flynn, Ken Jenkins, John C. McGinley, and Judy Reyes. The series has also featured multiple guest appearances by film actors, such as Brendan Fraser, Heather Graham, and Colin Farrell. In the ninth season, many new cast members were introduced and the show setting moved from a hospital to a medical school. Out of the original cast, only Braff, Faison and McGinley became regular cast members while the others, with the exception of Reyes, made guest appearances. Braff appeared in six episodes of the ninth season before departing. Kerry Bishé, Eliza Coupe, Dave Franco, and Mosley became series regulars with Bishé becoming the show's new narrator. -

Kevin Michael Richardson Podcast Transcript
This transcript was exported on May 20, 2021 - view latest version here. John Boccacino: Hello, and welcome back to the Cuse Conversations podcast. My name is John Boccacino, the communications specialist in Syracuse University's office of alumni engagement. I earned my bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in 2003, and later received my executive master's degree in public administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs in 2020. You can find our podcast on all of your major podcasting platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Google Play, and Spotify. You can also find our podcast at alumni.syr.edu/cuseconversations and anchor.fm/cuseconversations. Kevin Michael R...: When I found out that people made a living doing animation voiceover, I was like, what really? I mean, growing up with your friends and messing around and goofing off and stuff like that, you're always doing characters. You're imitating commercials, or scenes from a movie. I figured wait, people get paid to do that? I just made it an effort to really just see what I can do to do it professionally. John Boccacino: Well folks, today on the podcast, it is my pleasure to bring on Kevin Michael Richardson. He is a 1988 graduate of the College of Visual and Performing Arts with a drama degree. He's a classically trained actor, but that is not what we're talking about with his career on the podcast today. He is a well-known voiceover talent. If you've listened to TV, if you've watched TV shows, chances are pretty good you've heard Richardson's deep voice as the voiceover star of more than 530 credits to his name, including classics like Family Guy, The Simpsons, American Dad, SpongeBob Squarepants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. -

KINNEY ATLANTIC NEWS STAFF WRITER or the past month, members of Beagles Of New England States (BONES) have been very busy. FThe non-profit rescue group has been hard at work, trying to save the lives of several beagles found living in unsafe conditions earlier this month in Maine. Trisha Craig, foster director and public relations/ Cyan marketing director for the volunteer group, said the group has been working to improve the health of the wayward animals before they can find them new Magenta homes. Undoubtedly you’ve heard the story of several dogs recovered in Limington, Maine and the conditions they were living in. You probably know the story of the man Yellow who was living there and his death, which lead to their discovery. When the 19 beagles and one hound mix were dis- Black covered in the dilapidated house on Sokokis Ave. they were living in squalor. The house was without running water and the pups were living amongst heaps of gar- bage, urine and excrement, both canine and human. Two dead dogs were also in the house. Rescue workers and firefighters wore protective clothing and breathing apparatus while removing the animals from the home.
