When the burner (or pilot) is lit, the flame control (Fireye or Landis & Gyr) monitors the flame rod voltage, shutting off pilot and main gas valves if the voltage drops below a set point. This kit contains a replacement flame rod (P/N 25AR001A) which must be cut to the correct length before installation.

High voltage is present at the machine unless the main machine power disconnect is off. • Lock out and tag out power at the main machine disconnect before servicing, or in accordance with factory service procedures. • Do not service machine unless qualified and authorized.

Locate flame rod on burner assembly. The external section of the flame rod differs from that of the ignition rod because it uses a threaded terminal instead of a spark plug type terminal. 3. Remove flame rod. 4. Look for the flame rod length in Table 1. Flame rod lengths may vary for different gas trains. Measure the rod section of the old flame rod from the ceramic insulator to the tip. If the old flame rod length differs from the value shown in the table then use the actual flame rod length.
