Children all over the world know The Ugly Duckling, The Emperor’s New Clothes, The Little Mermaid, The Princess and the Pea and other tales. But Andersen also wrote very important works in many other literary genres. As we will discover, Andersen’s writings are not just for children. Further, Andersen very often in his works gives insightful commentary that reflects social, philosophical and technological changes throughout the 19th Century. This course will be a study of 30 fairy tales by Hans Christian Andersen as well as extracts from his novels, travelogues, poems, diaries and of his autobiography, The Fairy Tale of My Life. -

Vi vil formidle kultur og musik, og vi vil fortælle om det samfund, vi lever i – og vi vil gøre det til alle befolkningsgrupper, uanset om du er ni eller 90, og om du bor på Vesterbro eller ved vestkysten. Vi er fortsat til stede 10 steder DET i Danmark og vil styrke den regionale journalistik yderligere. Vi kommer også i fremtiden til at lave indhold til de mindste, der får dem til at juble og udlandet til at forbløffes. Vi vil producere dansk drama af højeste karat og give kæmpe musikalske oplevelser med kor og orkestre. Økonomien er blevet mindre, men vores ambitioner i forhold til kvalitet NYE til danskerne er stadig kæmpestore. For det andet skruer vi op for de forandringer, der skal ruste DR til fremtidens mediebrug. Vi har taget store skridt i de seneste år.
