Ces deux lignes, parallèle méridien, consti- .. tuent les coordonnées et leur intersection définit avecpréci­ sion l"emplacement exact du :village. Rappelons que l'ensemble du Cameroun se trouve à l'Est du méridien de Greenwich et au Nord de l'Equateur. Les coordonnées sont ex~rimées en degrés la distance unitaire entre deux parallèles (ou deux méridiens) est de un degré (1°) soit approximativement 110 km. Chaque degré est divisé en 60 minutes (60'). Pour retrouver sur la carte l'emplacement d'un village, on lit d'abord sur le dictionnaire le nom de la carte. Nous avons utilisé pour le MBAM les cartes suivantes : éditées par le Service Géogra,phique ·de Yaoundé (Annexe 1.G.N .) : Cartes au, 1/200.000ème BAFIA BANYO LmTE / .. ':;".. 'r' j 1. 1 .'",. \. Elle est désignée par le nom de la ville la plus importante. II Ces cartes au 1/200.000~!m. 'sont divie~es en 16 cartes au 1/50.OOOèmesuivant le schéma ci:"contre : 1 Une carte au 1/50.000àme porte le m@me nom d que la carte aU 1/200'.OOOème suivi· ,d'un --1--4 chiffr'e et d'une lettre (ex. : YAOUNDE 1a). a b On trouvera dans l'encadrement de chaque carte une échelle graphique permettant de c lire facilement les coordonnées, horizon­ tales et veJ:'ticales que l'on cherche. Les coordonnées d'un po·1nt quelconque .sont évidemment les'm~mes selon que l'on utilise li carte au 1/200.000ème ou celle aU 1 50.000ème. "Exemple: C'hercher le village BAMOKO (JUFIA). On lit sur le dictionnaire :. l'osit : Mér : 11°05' Par: 4'51' Carte: BAFIA On prend donc la carte au 1/50.000ème Bafia 3c ou à a~faut le 1/200.0OOème Bafia.. Le cadre de la carte porte les indications des mérid1 ens ,et paraJ.lèles (de 10 en 10 minutes sur le 1/200.000ème, de 5 en 5 sur le 1/50.000ème). On déter­ minè par ejmp1e lecture le grand carr~ dans leruel se trouve ce village; pour BAMOKO, entre les méridiens lignes vertica­ les) 11'00' et 11'10' et entre les parallèles lignes horizon­ tales) 4'50' et 4'60'. Appeal coverage: 21%; <click here to go directly to the final financial report, or here to view the contact details> Appeal history: This Emergency Appeal was initially launched on 04 April 2011 for CHF 1,249,847 for 12 months to assist 87,500 beneficiaries. CHF 150,000 was initially allocated from the Federation’s Disaster Relief Emergency Fund (DREF) to support the national society in responding by delivering assistance. Operations update No 1 was issued on 30 May 2011 to revise the objectives and budget of the operation. Operations update No 2 was issued on 31st May 2011 to provide financial statement against revised budget. Operations update No 3 was issued on 12 October 2011 to summarize the achievements 6 months into the operation. Operations update No 4 was issued on 29 February 2012 to extend the timeframe of the operation from 31st March to 30 June 2012 to cover the funding agreement with the American Embassy in Cameroon. But the main relevant impacts are recorded since 1990 due to intensification of agricultural activities and urbanization. LULC effects and dynamics vary from one region to another according to the type of vegetation cover and activities. Using remote sensing, GIS and subsidiary data, this paper attempted to model the land use and land cover (LULC) change in the Centre Region of Cameroon that host Yaoundé metropolis. The rapid expansion of the city of Yaoundé drives to the land conversion with farmland intensification and forest depletion accelerating the rate at which land use and land cover (LULC) transformations take place.

Des investigations menées sur le terrain et de l’analyse de divers documents, sont ressorties les conclusions générales suivantes : - Des abus fréquents de lettres de voiture de forêts communautaires pour évacuer et ou blanchir du bois exploité illégalement ont été constatés sous diverses formes de même que la non-remise au Ministère des forêts de lettres de voiture non-utilisées. Dans plusieurs autres cas, des lettres de voiture ont été délivrées aux forêts communautaires qui n'étaient pas en activité. Dans plus de 60% des cas, il est quasiment impossible de déterminer l’usage de toutes les lettres de voiture attribuées à ces forêts; - L’absence de l’aspect communautaire dans la gestion de plusieurs forêts communautaires, la majorité de ces dernières étant sous l’emprise d'intérêts particuliers de quelques membres des villages.
