To clear a spot on the 40-man roster, the A’s transferred second baseman Jed Lowrie to the 60-day disabled list. He is the third of the A’s top four picks from the 2013 draft to reach the majors this year, joining Dillon Overton and Ryon Healy. Ladendorf is batting .083 with one RBI in 45 games over four stints with the A’s. He was recalled most recently on Aug. 2 and was 1-for-12 in 10 games.
