There were concerns regarding fracking and any application made to Derbyshire County Council would be thoroughly scrutinised, however there were only certain grounds for refusal. Concerns were expressed regarding the methods the companies were using to approach landowners and Councillor Western confirmed that the companies had been challenged over the way they made contact and dialogue was ongoing.
