Some of you may have been able to hear our 2020 VCH lecture online. If you missed it we have a précis in this newsletter. We are considering having a combined live and online lecture in future years. However, we know just how important meeting up and going out into the real world is for everyone and are still making plans for some real -life activities later in 2021! The pandemic has helped us to imagine what it must have felt like to face epidemics in the past, although they had no hope of a vaccine or effective medical treatment.
