FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: Jaime Lee Texas Association of REALTORS® 512.370.2152 [email protected] Texas Realtors announce candidate support for contested 2018 primary races AUSTIN – January 17, 2018 – Today, TREPAC, the political arm of the Texas Association of Realtors, announced the slate of candidates receiving its support in the contested March primary elections. In making the announcement, TREPAC Chairman David Alan Cox commended all the candidates for their commitment to protecting private-property rights. “Texas Realtors support these candidates in their contested primaries because they are dedicated to protecting the rights of Texas property owners across the state,” Cox said. “Many discussions in the 2019 legislative session will be centered on issues that directly affect Texas homeowners, including property tax reform, public school finance, and infrastructure solutions,” said Cox. “We believe these are the leaders who will best serve Texas.” Texas Realtors advocate for homeowners and private-property rights by supporting efforts to enhance the lives of Texas property owners, such as support for property tax reform in 2017 and prohibiting sales taxes on real estate in 2015, passing consumer protections against unscrupulous property-tax lenders in 2013, and eliminating most private transfer fees on real estate transactions in 2011.
