It was a delight to welcome Bishop Colin to Sparsholt Church on 13th August to commission Gill Thompson as an Anna Chaplain to the Ridgeway Benefice. This is an exciting new venture for Gill and the benefice and we hope that through her passion and commitment Gill will be a catalyst for Anna Chaplaincy in the Deanery and the Diocese www.annachaplaincy.org.uk The Right Revd Colin Fletcher: Bishop of Dorcester will be retiring in October after serving as Bishop in the Diocese of Oxford for twenty years. Bishop Colin has been a great supporter of rural ministry and he has welcomed a number of opportunities to join us to celebrate, consecrate and commission. We extend our thanks and love to him for his encouragement, support and blessings and wish Bishop Colin a very happy retirement. We are delighted that Andrea now has a date for her ordination to the priesthood. Andrea has been a wonderful blessing to us all and I am sure that you will want to join the livestreaming of the ordination service in Dorchester Abbey on 20th September. Please see September services for more details. A big thank you to Andrea for the questionaire that was sent out to everyone to seek thoughts and comments about church services. Thank you to everyone who has responded. Your comments will help to inform our service planning for the coming year.
