The latest guidance from the Church of England concerning the wearing of face masks states that it is now a legal requirement for a face covering (mask) to be worn in church and a wide range of indoor public spaces. All those attending church are asked to wear face masks whilst in church unless there are medical reasons not to do so. (At communion masks will naturally need to be removed). • Bishop Colin Fletcher is retiring on 4th October as Bishop of Dorchester after 20 years of faithful service. There was to have been a big farewell service in Dorchester Abbey followed by a tea party. Sadly, that is no longer possible due to Covid restrictions and so there will be several Zoom services of Evening Prayer. The Deaneries of Chipping Norton, Witney and Woodstock are sharing in one this THURSDAY at 7.30pm. All are welcome to join and here are the link details (which will also be available on our website so that you don’t have to retype the link!) https://zoom.us/j/99981708606?pwd=ZzFkMDJHM29vQUd3YmRzd25Ya 0ZPZz09 Meeting ID: 999 8170 8606 Passcode: 511486 • Wednesday Morning Communion – we have now resumed the Wednesday morning 10am Communion service (BCP) at Woodstock.
