    ROMANIA Irina Vainovski-Mihai1 1 Muslim Populations The first Muslim communities in Romania were formed (mainly in north- ern Dobrudja and along the lower Danube) in the fourteenth century when Ottoman rule was established in the region. Dobrudja remained part of the Ottoman Empire for five centuries. After the Russian- Romanian- Ottoman War (1877), Romania gained its independence and the Treaty of Berlin (1878) acknowledged Dobrudja as part of Romanian territory. As a result of the economic and political conditions in the early twentieth century, Turks and Tatars migrated massively from Dobrudja to Turkey. While the census of 1879 recorded Muslims as representing 56% of the population in the Dobrudjan county of Constantza, the census of 1909 indicates that the percentage had dropped to 10.8%.2 Since its establish- ment as an independent state, the Constitutions of Romania and special laws have guaranteed the rights of certain religious groups, in addition to Orthodox Christians who represent the majority of the population. The law on religious denominations adopted in 1923 lists the Muslim faith among the recognised ‘historical faiths’.3 The establishment of the Com- munist regime (1948) introduced many formal changes with regard to the recognition of religious denominations, but put them under strict state control. Between 1948 and 1989, the Communist state acted systematically to impose atheism and limit the impact of religious creeds on society. 1 Irina Vainovski-Mihai is Associate Professor in Arabic Literature at Dimitrie Cantemir Christian University, Bucharest.     Biroul de presă T +40 372 115 694 F +40 372-87.33.42 [email protected] e-distributie.com COMUNICAT DE PRESĂ Constanța, 6 februarie 2020 – Un număr de 240 de tehnicieni ai E-Distribuție Dobrogea şi ai contractorilor societății lucrează pentru restabilirea în cel mai scurt timp posibil a alimentării cu energie electrică a consumatorilor din zonele afectate de condiţiile meteo deosebite (cod roșu și portocaliu de vreme rea cu intensificari ale vântului la circa 85 km/h și ninsoare) a fost afectată funcționarea instalațiilor E-Distribuție Dobrogea. Intervențiile echipelor sunt mult îngreunate de condițiile meteo dificile, întrucât vântul puternic nu permite intervențiile la înălțime, precum și de faptul că echipele nu au acces spre zonele unde sunt înregistrate avarii, circulația rutieră fiind închisă în zone ample din județele Călărași, Tulcea, Ialomița și Constanța. În data de 6 februarie, la ora 9:00, situaţia se prezenta astfel: - în judeţul Călăraşi erau nealimentate 48 linii electrice aeriene de medie tensiune, fiind afectate total sau parțial localitățile Belciugatele, Borcea, Călărași, Cășcioarele, Chirnogi, Chiselet, Ciocănești, Cuza Vodă, Dichiseni, Dor Mărunt, Dorobanțu, Dragalina, Dragoș Vodă, Frăsinet, Frumușani, Fundulea, Grădiștea, 1 Gurbanești, Independența, Ileana, Jegălia, Lehliu, Lehliu Gara, Lupșanu, Luica, Mănăstirea, Mitreni, Modelu, Nana, Oltenița, Perișoru, Plătărești, Soldanu, Spantov, Ștefan Vodă, Ștefan cel Mare, Tămădăul Mare, Ulmeni, Ulmu, Unirea, Valea Argovei, Vlad Țepeș. - în judeţul Ialomiţa erau nealimentate

    SOME NAMES OF LOCALITIES IN THE COUNTY OF CONSTANŢA Dumitru CARABAŞ “Ovidius” University of Constanţa Abstract Dobrogean toponymy carries the traces of the history of this teritory. Thus, we find doublets of village names, we have the old name, usually of Turkish-Tatar origin, from the Ottoman Empire period, and besides this one, we also find the official name of the locality. The richness of Dobrogean toponymy delights us and explains the cohabitation of so many ethnic minorities in this space blessed by God. The Turks and Tatars, as old inhabitans of this province, gave the initial names, which were also taken over by the Aromanians, settled here at the beginning of the 20th century. Key-words: toponymy, borrowings, Turkish-Tatar, Dobrogea, Constanţa Résumé La toponymie de Dobrogea, porte les traces de l’histoire de ce territoire. Ainsi, on retrouve les noms de localités doublés, leur ancien nom, d’habitude d’origine turco- tatare, de la période de l’Empire ottomane, étant doublépar le nom officiel, actuel, de la respective localité. La richesse de la toponymie de Dobrogea nous ravit et explique le mode de cohabitation de tant de minorités ethnique dans cet espace béni de Dieu. Les Turques et les Tatares, anciens habitants de cette province, ont donné des noms qui ont également été repris par les Aroumains colonisés ici au début du XXe siècle. Introduction Dobrogea is a special territory not only for Romania, but for the whole Europe, as the entrance gate of both Indo-European populations and all other migratory popula- tions that knocked at the gates of the old continent.

Dobrogea de Sud este o unitate de podiș situată în partea sud-estică a României, între Dunăre și Marea Neagră, și constituie un sistem teritorial bine evi- dențiat. Analiza geografică a teritoriului este esențială în dezvoltarea locală și regională, având în vedere atingerea unor finalități culturale și socio-economice, precum turismul rural. Integritatea și coeziunea sistemului teritorial pot fi evaluate prin intercondiţio- narea următoarelor componente: componenta environmentală, componenta socio-cul- turală, componenta economică și de infrastructură [3]. Componenta de infrastructură trebuie analizată din perspectiva relaţiei cu celelalte resurse teritoriale, prin intermediul unor scenarii de dezvoltare sustenabilă pentru populație și activităţile socio-economice specifice, având un rol esenţial și în procesul de amenajare turistică a spațiului rural [2,5]. THE LOCATION OF CERNAVODA NPP UNIT 1 Cernavoda NPP site is located in Constanta County in the Dobrogea region. The nuclear facility lies about two kilometres Southeast of the town of Cernavoda, in the lower Danube region near the Black Sea. This site was previously a limestone quarry with a cement plant. About 220,000 people reside within 30 km of the site. The terrain of the Cernavoda is generally flat but there are hills and low mountains especially to the south. There is also a hill between Cernavoda NPP and the town of Cernavoda. The climate is continental with a Mediterranean-like influence from the Black Sea. However, summers are hot and dry, and winter moderate with some snow. The Cernavoda NPP site is located at the convergence of several transportation systems. There are both nationally and internationally important waterways - the Danube River and the Danube-Black Sea (DBS) Channel. Road and railway networks connect the town of Cernavoda with locations to the North and South along the Danube River and East and West along the DBS Channel. Within a 30-km radius of the Cernavoda NPP site there are several historical monuments and archeologically significant ruins, some of which date to Greek and Roman times. There are also four natural reserves. There is a museum in Medgidia, an art collection in Topalu and folk architecture sites in several villages, the monument and a museum in Adamclisi.

Resurse de apă potenţiale şi tehnic utilizabile În judeţul Constanţa, SC RAJA SA exploatează un număr de 86 de surse de apă subterană, având o capacitate totală instalata de 34671 mc/h şi 2 surse de apă de suprafaţă, respectiv sursa Galeşu cu o capacitate totală instalată de 4,47 mc/s şi Dealul Vifor a cărei capacitate totală instalată este de 0,1 mc/s. Modul de aprovizionare cu apa potabila si tipul sursei de apa potabila 2016: Sistem centralizat A. Sursă de suprafaţă – fluviul Dunarea: localitatea Cernavoda – Cartier Columbia B. Sursa apa amestec (profunzime+suprafata) –puturi Cismea IA, IB, IC, II, Caragea Dermeni, Constanta Nord + apa suprafata Canal Galesu: localitatile Constanta-zona I, Lumina, Năvodari, Corbu de Jos, Eforie Nord, Agigea, Lazu, Cumpana. C. Sursa de profunzime (foraje de adancimi variate): celelalte localitati urbane ale judetului precum si marea majoritate a localitatilor rurale (exceptie localitatile aprovizionate cu apa potabila pe baza de fantani) Sistem local: fantani publice sau individuale, izvoare si cismele II.1.1.2. Utilizarea resurselor de apă Stocarea apei de catre SC RAJA SA Constanta se realizează în cele 171 rezervoare de apă, având un volum total de înmagazinare de aprox. 306.614 mc. Apa brută este tratată în cele două staţii de tratare apă: Staţia de tratare Palas - Constanţa şi staţia de tratare Dealul Vifor – Cernavodă, pompată prin intermediul celor 66 staţii de pompare apă potabilă, cu o capacitate totală de 157.818 mc/h.
