He has developed a reputation for producing music that is original, inspiring and always colourful. His scores have received several major accolades. In 2004 he won the BAFTA for Best Original Score for The Young Visiters as well as being nominated for State of Play in the same year. Nicholas was nominated for a 2006 BAFTA for his score to The Girl In The Café, and prior to this was BAFTA nominated for The Way We Live Now. In 1998 he won the coveted Nicholas scored Philip Martin’s feature, Golden Panda Award for Land of the Tiger, Einstein and Eddington, starring David a major BBC documentary series on India. About The Conductor Nicholas Buc Conductor Nicholas Buc is a composer, conductor and arranger. As the recipient of the Brian May Scholarship, he completed a Master’s degree in Scoring for Film and Multimedia at New York University, receiving the Elmer Bernstein Award for Film Scoring. He has composed music for film and television, with some of his work being screened at festivals and theatres around Australia, Asia and the US. His commissioned works have been premiered by the Royal Melbourne Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir, The Australian Voices, and the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra.
