About this home Rivendell is a supported living service for adults aged 17+ with enduring mental health needs, learning disabilities and autism spectrum conditions, who would benefit from living in their own space with a bespoke care package to suit their needs, plus background support for more independent individuals in the shared part of the property.

Rivendell provides individuals with appropriate support for their specific needs. They are outcome-focused and encourage the development of life skills. They also work with our people to integrate them within the wider community and liaise with family members regarding ongoing care and activities. What we offer Rivendell is a newly developed property with three self-contained flats, one fully en-suite bedroom and two further bedrooms with en suite WC and a shared bathroom. There are multiple communal facilities for people to socialise with others if they wish including a lounge and kitchen/ dining room.

Rivendell is located in Rock Ferry, Wirral, providing great access to all surrounding towns including and . The location is close to the water’s edge with coastal walks and local shops easily accessible with good public transport links.

Rock Ferry is situated on the eastern side of the , at the western side of the . Rock Ferry railway station is on the of the local rail network, with regular underground services and a short journey to Chester and .

Lifestyle People at Rivendell are supported to lead active lives and can take part in a wide range of activities both in the service and in the wider community. Some examples of leisure activities include cooking, swimming, hockey, football, ice-hockey and bowling. Individuals will also be supported in the development of independence through the learning of life skills like meal preparation, budgeting, self-care and grocery shopping. At Rivendell, individuals participate in gardening and growing their own crops, such as tomatoes and cucumbers, which they then use in their weekly cooking sessions.

Independence and confidence can be developed through individuals being supported to identify and maintain education, paid work and/or volunteering which is greatly encouraged at the service.
