All are welcome to attend and remember the fulfillment of eternal life that St. Francis saw in his death. The service will open a 24- hour Prayer Vigil for unity and peace in our city, our country, and our world. All are welcome to participate in the 24 hours, which will close with a Mass on Tuesday, Oct. Polanki, the Polish Women's Cultural Club of Milwaukee, is sponsoring its 17th Annual Polish Soup Festival on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Norway House, 7507 W. Oklahoma Avenue, Milwaukee. Seven authentic Polish soups are featured, including Czarnina (duck blood), Grzybowa (mushroom), Kapusniak (cabbage), Zupa Grochowka (split pea), Zupa Ogorkowa (dill pickle), Zupa Sloneczna (carrot), and Rosol z Kury (chicken). There are two seatings by reservation only from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $13 for adults (includes 4 soups of your choice) or $7 for seniors and children 10 and under (includes 2 soups of your choice). Each dinner includes rye bread, coffee or milk, and dessert. A cash bar featuring a variety of Polish beers is available.
