The Flyfords Flyer The Flyfords Family of Churches News

21st June 2020 – The 2nd Sunday After Trinity

Dear Friends,

As you know, all around us things are changing- by the day, and almost by the hour! Some of our churches are planning to open for short periods for private prayer, and we are being allowed to join appropriate 'bubbles' of people for socially-distanced communication. Shops and gardens are opening again, and less travel restrictions are on the horizon. However, some people are still needing to 'shield' for various reasons, and can feel lonely and isolated- that's why we need to continue to remember the people we know in our prayers. After all, if we have learnt anything during the last three months, it is that we, as human beings, need companionship, community and connection. If you can think of just three people to pray for each day, that would be good.

Please be assured of my ongoing prayers for you all, and I look forward to the day (very soon, I hope), when we can meet again together to worship God in spirit and in truth. If you would like a call from me during the week, please do let Caroline know, or you can call me direct on the Rectory number.

SHARE WITH US HERE WHAT YOUR THOUGHTS HAVE BEEN IN LOCKDOWN

In my view, Lockdown has given people time to think and reflect and realise what is actually important in life like family, friends, well-being and health. It's given everybody chance to slow down. It's made us learn new skills. It's given me time to do jobs that wouldn't normally get done. I've even set up a home gym. It's allowed me and my friends time to set-up our own business. I've also made contact with friends that I've not heard from for years.
