Use it when bidding and do not allow anyone else to use it. 2 Payment must be made in full by cash, check or credit card to the cashier after the conclusion of bidding on May 14, 2016. All sales are fnal. Items will be released on presentation of paid receipt and must be removed from Nimbus Arts this same evening. 3 For auction items and services not available for pickup at Nimbash, dates, times and location of use or availability are specifed or shall be arranged to meet the mutual convenience for the donor and buyer. 4 Nimbus Arts warrants neither the quality nor value of items and services auctioned. All items are sold “as is” and “with all faults or charms.” Values listed are good faith estimates of fair market value. 5 Nimbus Arts is not responsible for typographic errors. 6 Items are not to be returned to donors for exchange or refund. All sales are fnal. In the event that the bidder and donor are in dispute regarding a purchased lot, Nimbus Arts reserves the right to refund the bidder the full purchase price. 7 Art and tangible products are subject to sales tax in accordance with California state law. Tonight we celebrate and animate the artistic foundation of Nimbus Arts and the mythological continuity of millennia that informs and inspires artistic expression and cultural communication. We be- lieve that art serves to illuminate, explore, and answer ideas and questions central to NIMBASH 2016 human existence. At we invite you to rediscover this connection between art, cultural storytelling, and the ways in which art is central to our being. You have helped to make Nimbus Arts central to our community for more than a decade, and with deep gratitude we continue our mission to ignite artis- MYTHOS tic expression, and make art accessible throughout Napa Valley. As combines hundreds of stories into the human narrative, Nimbus Arts also brings together “Hundreds of Hands” connecting our community through art and our team of dedicated and creative artist instructors. We could not begin to meet this mission without the support and participa- tion of our Board of Directors, Leadership Circle, and donors (large and small) who sustain us. We also could not continue without the involvement and gen- erosity of our community, people like you who have chosen to join us tonight. NIMBASH 2016 Our program begins with the Silent Auction and Art Activities, running from 5:30—7:45 pm. During this time auction items are on display with bid sheets available. Food and wine tastings are ofered from Napa Valley’s fnest restaurants, caterers, wineries and beverage companies. Troughout the site, there are interac- tive art activities created and hosted by our amazing Nimbus artists. SILENT AUCTION 5:30 pm to 7:45 pm Please bid in increments indicated on each bid sheet. Under no circumstances should the bid sheets be removed from their location. Take Away bids are listed on each bid sheet. Tose wishing to purchase at the Take Away price should sign at that location and will be guaranteed the item. In the event of a dispute, the Auc- tion Marshall shall have the fnal authority to determine the winning bidder, or to re-ofer the item in the Live Auction. LIVE AUCTION Begins at 8:00 Te Auctioneer is the agent of the seller, and has the right to determine and set bidding minimums, and increments on each item. Te highest bidder acknowl- edged by the Auctioneer shall be the purchaser. In the event of a dispute, the Auctioneer shall have the sole authority to determine a successful bidder or to re-ofer and resell the item. On the fall of the Auctioneer’s hammer, title to the item shall pass to the acknowledged bidder. AUCTIONEER RICHARD D. PIO RODA We are most grateful to Richard D. Pio Roda, Esq., for contributing his time, energy and talent to the Live Auction. ABOUT OUR NIMBASH AUCTIONEER: Richard D. Pio Roda has been a professional auctioneer for more than nineteen years. He has conducted hundreds of charity auctions for numerous organiza- tions, non-profts, foundations, schools and other charity events throughout the world, notably: Japan’s Tokyo English Life Line, Phillipine International Aid Foundation, Napa’s Justin Siena High School, the University of San Francisco School of Law Public Interest Law Foundation, Te American Red Cross, Te American Cancer Society, San Francisco Child Abuse Prevention Council, and Te San Diego Asian American Film Festival, among others. Richard is an attorney and works as a partner in the law frm of Meyers Nave Riback Silver and Wilson in San Francisco and Oakland, CA, where he practices corporate and municipal law, public contracting and construction for cities, counties, and special district clients all over the state of California.
