Vice President, Antisemitism Research

Overview

POSITION TITLE: Vice President, Antisemitism Research

SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Small research staff and consultants

LOCATION: Flexible with preference for locations with an ADL office, including Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Washington, DC.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:

ADL is the oldest anti-hate organization in the world. Founded in 1913 in response to an escalating climate of antisemitism and bigotry, its timeless mission is to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and secure justice and fair treatment to all. Today, ADL continues to fight all forms of hate with the same vigor and passion. ADL is the first call when acts of antisemitism occur. A global leader in exposing extremism, delivering anti-bias education and fighting hate online, ADL’s ultimate goal is a world in which no group or individual suffers from bias, discrimination or hate.

ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt—an accomplished leader and entrepreneur in the corporate, public, and nonprofit sectors—was recruited to the organization in July 2015. He has injected new energy and brought a bold vision to the agency. Under Jonathan’s leadership, ADL is transforming itself, upgrading its capabilities, leveraging innovation, building partnerships, and pioneering new horizons.

ADL’s research on antisemitism is critical to understanding anti-Jewish hate, informing advocacy and community engagement priorities, and ensuring ADL’s day-to-day work countering antisemitism is rooted in the best research and data available. At a time of surging hate, an understanding of antisemitism rooted in cross-disciplinary research that also explores contemporary manifestations and interactions with other forms of bigotry and hatred will strengthen ADL’s work.
