From MainStreet Libertyville, who run many of the summer events like Farmer’s Market and Out to Lunch, to the members of the Village Band, to the many volunteers who make up the Civic Center Foundation and run Libertyville Days. Often unrecognized are the many citizens who act on their own to maintain cul de sacs and other public property. Unfortunately, volunteerism has been on the wane due to the busy schedule of residents and often, not knowing where willing residents can volunteer for a project or organization that meets their interests and time commitments.
