Jason Hammel - RHP - Chicago Cubs Wenatchee AppleSox: 2001 9 GS, 3-2, 2.98 ERA, 58 K, 7 BB

BIO: A member of the 2001 Wenatchee AppleSox, Jason Hammel is one of the team’s most notable alumni members. Born in Green- ville, S.C., Hammel grew up in Port Orchard, Wash., and attended South Kitsap High School. Collegiately, Hammel played at Treasure Valley Community College and was drafted by Tampa Bay in the 10th round of the 2002 MLB Draft. His MLB debut was April 11, 2006 for the Rays. He also has played with Colorado, Baltimore, the Cubs (2014), and Oakland.

LAST WEEK: Hammel hasn’t started since May 24, due to a nagging fingernail issue that has kept him off the mound. Despite the in- jury, Hammell has turned in six consecutive quality starts. He threw seven innings of five-hit, four-run baseball at Arizona on the 24th. Over his last three starts he has tossed 29 total innings, and given up no more than five hits in each start.

THIS WEEK: Hammel will face the Miami Marlins at Marlins Park, Monday, June 1. First pitch is 6:10 p.m. EST, and Hammel is expected to face Jose Urena (5-2, 3.75).

Blaine Hardy - LHP - Wenatchee AppleSox: 2006 4 G, 2-0, 3.00 ERA, 17 K, 9 BB

BIO: One of Milone’s 2006 Championship teammates, Blaine Hardy got his start at Lewis-Clark State College after growing up in End- monds, Wash. and playing school ball for Edmonds-Woodway High School. At Lewis-Clark State, Hardy won the NAIA World Series in 2008. Drafted by the in the 22nd round of 2008 MLB Draft, Hardy made his MLB debut June 16, 2014 for the Detroit Tigers. He has only recorded three MLB decisions in his young MLB career.

LAST WEEK: Hardy made three appearances for Detroit at Oakland and Los Angeles this week (May 25, 27, 30). He earned one hold over the three-day span, and pitched a total of 2 2/3 innings. He gave up three hits and one run, which was earned. He struck out three and walked one.

THIS WEEK: This week, the Tigers are back at Comerica Park for a three-game series against the Oakland Athletics, before heading to Chicago to take on the White Sox, June 5-7.

Tommy Milone - LHP - Wenatchee AppleSox: 2006 5 GS, 2-1, 4.55 ERA, 13 K, 12 BB

BIO: A member of the WCL-Champion 2006 Wenatchee AppleSox, Tommy Milone was the second of Ed Knaggs’ AppleSox to reach the show. A native of Saugus, Calif., Milone attended Saugus High School and the University of Southern California. He was drafted by the Washington Nationals in the 10th round of the 2008 amateur draft. His MLB debut came Sept. 3, 2011 against the New York Mets. He has previously played with the Nationals and Oakland.
