Although I was a bit apprehensive about Garth Ennis Punisher Max: Girls in White Dresses Vol. 11 the helm to someone else — has done a solid job in telling a great tale as well as ending this series. Hats are doffed and the review must commence. A real tender sid Girls in White Dresses is a fitting end to an already stupendous series. A real tender side burgeons forth that reminds us that this otherwise sadistic character is fully human and capable of great emotion. Contrasted with his DC counterpart, Batman, our protagonist embodies a far wider width of believability and verisimilitude. For no matter how well a Batman story is written, Bruce Wayne still remains a man running around in his underwear punching bad guys with guns. Frank Castle, on the other hand, replying to guns with more guns feels far more real, and sometimes, unnervingly so. The credit to how well this Punisher Max: Girls in White Dresses Vol. 11 has been written is well deserved by Hurwitz who was also able to graft a thoroughly well-developed set and setting. Taking place mere miles away from the southern American border riddled with narcos and an endless supply of pushable drogas, this degree of unnerving verisimilitude flexes and aggrandizes within itself. The emotional connection burgeons even further following the horrific deaths and kidnapping of numerous young women. Seemingly taking a cue from the Writ of Hammurabi, a world where all eyes are plucked out from evil-doers is sought. Having dismantled the enemies both in body and in business our anti- hero rides not into the proverbial sunset but rather returns to merely yet another orbit within Punisher Max: Girls in White Dresses Vol. 11 ever-seeing eye of the abyss. Far from Sisyphean, this project has been completed and will remain finished only until the blood-letting ouroboros spins yet again. Jun 12, Christopher rated it liked it Shelves:graphic-novels. Some interior thought of the Punisher, which is rare for him - but in true Punisher style, Hurwitz's Mr. Castle only does it for a page or two each time. Just the real deal. I coincidentally picked this and The Survivorand it is great as well! Frank pro-ekolog? Punisher sam, w pokoju Nawet dziewczynki. Przynajmniej moim zdaniem. May 05, 47Time rated it Punisher Max: Girls in White Dresses Vol. 11 liked it Shelves: comics-fiction. There are some intense fighting scenes in this arc. It's not Ennis-level writing, but it's far from bad. The artwork is gritty and dark, very fitting for the story. Frank does more by crippling the drug operation than just get rid of the product and dealers, he also teaches the villagers to stand up for themselves. Frank is approched by a man who lives in a Mexican village. A drug operation is kidnapping the young women from the village and bringing them back dead. He accidentally kills a child there that was recently kidnapped and the event brings Frank to the brink of suicide. He later discovers that the girl was already dead when he got there and was intended as a psychological blow. Frank heads for the leader of the operation which is revealed to be Jigsaw. It Punisher Max: Girls in White Dresses Vol. 11 across more as noir with superhero leanings, a tough detective story where the detective is comically tough and too accurate in his guesswork. The most interesting part is when Frank appears to have accidentally killed a little girl. It plays perfectly into the history of the character, but the logistics are all off. Unbeknownst to Frank, the girl was already dead and propped behind a mirror that he sho While this is a decent enough story, I'm not necessarily sure it's a Punisher story. For a guy who one issue prior Punisher Max: Girls in White Dresses Vol. 11 out a giant meth operation by doing a DIY autopsy on a sewn up corpse, this makes no sense. The only other canonically Punisher part is when he strings up a bunch of drug dealers and beats the piss out of them until they talk. Even that is fairly stock, though. Everything else--the dialogue, the art, the easy disposal of a mostly-absent villain--is by-the-books noir. And Hurwitz is great at it! But it's could have been anyone. After the incredible Ennis run with the character, this is an enjoyable letdown. Jan 25, Prasidh Ramson rated it it was amazing Shelves: graphic-novels-the-punisher. Description Imported from USA. Full description not available. The story is brutal, realistic and well written But, what i think shines here is the dark graphics for the sinister plot! If you like the Punisher you will like this brutal story! Read more I suppose some of you idiots are unhappy with the spiritual nature of the Punisher. Read Punisher; Reborn if you don't believe me. This is the perfect story for an over-looked character. Every panel has incredible imagery, and Punisher Max: Girls in White Dresses Vol. 11 writing is brilliant. This is a pornographic book capitalizing on another title which is "Girls in white dresses. With Garth Ennis turning over the wheel I was worried that it wouldn't be the same. There are some differences but the quality is what I've come to expect and love about this series. Gregg Hurwitz takes over where Garth Ennis left-off. I really liked the story. It was Punisher Max: Girls in White Dresses Vol. 11 because it happens in certain parts of Mexico, people getting snatched off the streets. Pure Punisher euphoria. I loved the art in this, it matched with the gritty telling of the novel. I highly recommend this to anyone who reads the Max series of Punisher or Daredevil, it was well worth the price. Quite simply the Artwork just isnt good enough in my opinion. Its beyond me. Ennis was perfect for the Punisher. Hard-edge and gritty storylines with that twist. Hurwitz's storyline has absolutely no twists. A direct ripoff from the "magnificent seven" plot about a poor terrorised mexican town hiring mercenaries to clean up their town, it was obvious, barely into the opening sequences, that the abducted young women were coopted to produce synthetic drugs and there was no cult involved. The explanation of their missing eyeballs and lungs was not done very well as the artwork was not clear. Similarly the Punisher Max: Girls in White Dresses Vol. 11 that the Punisher did not kill the girl thus maintaining his zero innocent body count because of a paranormal incident with the girl telling him to dig up her body to find an incompatible bullet slug was just ridiculous. Anyway, why throw in a paranormal sequence here as it doesn't gel with the rest of the storyline. The Punisher could have just worked it out logically. The Jigsaw character was just pathetic in this piece. The artwork was very disappointing. I don't like this style of artwork as it smacks of the Maleev style Punisher Max: Girls in White Dresses Vol. 11 which looks like badly traced drawings from photos. The style is static. For someone used to the terrific style and expectation of the Punisher MAX series, this issue was disappointing. Gregg Hurwitz is an amazing writer, I've loved every one of his novels. Recently branching out into comics he has written two runs on Foolkiler and a few tales. The Punisher is a perfect place for a crime fiction author to be, and after the run by Garth Ennis there are some big boots to fill. Hurwitz not only fills the boots, but bursts them at the seams. The Punisher is in Mexico helping out a small town where girls go missing. It rings of true life events in Juarezhowever here Frank Castle gets to the bottom of things and with his own special brand of justice makes things right. Or at least as right as they can be. There is also a bonus for crime fiction Punisher Max: Girls in White Dresses Vol. 11 as fan favorite Robert Crais has written the introduction. Similar Products.
