  • American International Pictures (AIP) Est Une Société De Production Et

March 1, 2004 Dear Editor/TV Writer: May offers many things, including a Memorial Day tribute, a birthday salute to a big Westerns legend, a look at an acclaimed director, and a lost little fish. ACTION celebrates Memorial Day with a 24-hour Combat! marathon on Monday, May 31st and an Action Channel original special on the series, hosted by actor Tom Skerritt, featuring interviews with cast members including comedian Shecky Greene, directors (such as Richard Donner and Robert Altman), writers and Combat! historians. WESTERNS acknowledges John “The Duke” Wayne’s birthday on May 26th with a 10-film marathon salute including True Grit, North to Alaska, and The Sons of Katie Elder. ENCORE presents a profile of visual genius Ridley Scott in its original series “The Directors,” plus three of Scott’s films featured in a “Behind the Camera” package, including the director’s cut of Alien. If you’re looking for big movies, the STARZ! Saturday Premiere presents the 2003 box-office champion Finding Nemo, which features the voices of Ellen DeGeneres, Albert Brooks, Brad Garrett, and Willem Dafoe. Of course, my personal favorite is the remake of Willard starring the always off-beat and strange Crispin Glover. As always, if you need additional information, please don’t hesitate to call.
