May offers many things, including a Memorial Day tribute, a birthday salute to a big Westerns legend, a look at an acclaimed director, and a lost little fish. ACTION celebrates Memorial Day with a 24-hour Combat! marathon on Monday, May 31st and an Action Channel original special on the series, hosted by actor , featuring interviews with cast members including comedian Shecky Greene, directors (such as Richard Donner and Robert Altman), writers and Combat! historians. WESTERNS acknowledges John “The Duke” Wayne’s birthday on May 26th with a 10-film marathon salute including True Grit, North to Alaska, and . ENCORE presents a profile of visual genius in its original series “The Directors,” plus three of Scott’s films featured in a “Behind the Camera” package, including the director’s cut of Alien. If you’re looking for big movies, the STARZ! Saturday Premiere presents the 2003 box-office champion , which features the voices of Ellen DeGeneres, Albert Brooks, Brad Garrett, and . Heart Throbs: Offers romantic leading men of today and yesterday. May presents five films from the eternally handsome Cary Grant. • An Affair to Remember – Cary Grant plays a handsome playboy who falls in love with Deborah Kerr while on a cruise. They decide to wait six months before seeing each other and on the way to their meeting at the Empire State Building tragedy strikes. • Holiday – Katharine Hepburn plays a tomboyish New York socialite who flirts with her stuffy sister’s down-to-earth fiancé (Cary Grant). • His Girl Friday – A remake of the comedy The Front Page, this screwball comedy has Grant trying to stop an ace reporter (Hepburn) from remarrying. • To Catch a Thief – Grant plays a retired cat burglar accused of committing a series of copycat thefts along the French Riviera. Not only was it directed by , but it co-stars the lovely Grace Kelly. • The Talk of the Town – An escaped anarchist (Grant) finds refuge with an old flame (Jean Arthur) who is also housing a Supreme Court candidate.
