Shannon Marsh St. Pat’s Elementary NEW CARLISLE: - For the past 12 years Gaspesians have expressed and celebrated their pride in our region on the first Thursday of June for Proud to be Gaspesian Day, or as the francophones refer to it as, Journée en Blue. Introduced in 2007 by Commission jeunesse Gaspésie-Iles-de-la-Madeleine, each year on this day Gaspesians show their support by wearing blue! This is a day to promote being Gaspesian and show the world what the Gaspé Coast has to offer. On June 7, students from New Carlisle High School, Shigawake Port Daniel School, New Richmond High School and St. Patrick’s School celebrated and supported this event. The students and teachers submitted creative pictures to CASA expressing their Gaspe- sian pride! In return all students were presented with fruit trays and cold treats!
