PROJECT REPORT ON ACTIVITIES RELATED TO SVEEP VOTER REGISTRATION CAMPAIGN Pathanamthitta SVEEP has begun to promote voter literacy in the district by holding the COVID protocol and allowing all eligible citizens to vote with the help of the Akshaya District Centres.Enrolment for the new ID card facility was launched at different colleges and, on 11 February2021, the start-up with District Assistant Collector Chelsasini V inaugurated the programme at Aranmula engineering campus, addressing first year and second year students. She pointed out why voting is necessary. Why should we have an ID and what documents are required to create a new ID card. More than 100 new votersgot an opportunity in their campus to enroll themselves for new voter ID. INTRODUCTION OF NVSP PORTAL-ONLINE SESSION On 8th March 2021 National Voters Service Portal was introduced by Assistant Nodal OfficerDr SavithaPramod to D B Pampa College Students and were made aware that a user can avail and access the electoral list, apply for voter ID Card, apply online for correction in voter‟s card, track status of applicationetc on this Portal. They were made to register and urged to pass this knowledge among their friends and relatives IntroducingNVSP Portal to D B Pampa College students ELECTION QUIZ OnlineElection Quiz was conducted for school and College students to enhance their participation in the upcoming 2021 Assembly election and the prizes were distributed by Collector on 10 th March,2021 to the winners. CAMPAIGN THROUGH GAS CYLINDERS AND RATION SHOPS An awareness program targeting women was carried out by pasting stickers on gas cylinders which was inaugurated by District Collector Dr.Narasimhugari T L Reddy. Assistant Collector, Election Deputy Collector and SVEEP team and Collectorate staff too participated in the programme . District supply officer has been entrusted to coordinate all Gas Agencies so that they support pasting of stickers in gas cylinders .stickers were also handed over to Ration Shop Dealers representative Mr.Navas Khan was handed over the stickers for awareness programme through Ration Shops since it is a place where most of the poor families come fot purchasing their weekly quota of rice. Its expected that it will reach most of the families through posters pasted in almost 860 ration shops. NCC Cadets from Mar Thoma College, NSS College Changanassery, SB College, St Aloysius College and BAM College also participated in „Take a Pledge‟ to cast their vote and make others aware about the need and importance of their voting right. PRODUCTION OF ANIMATION FILM In addition to the short bytes by district collector, SVEEP video was also produced for campaign through visual and social media. CAMPAIGN IN OLD AGES HOMES Awareness activities were conducted in old age homes .
