ROYALS AND FOX SPORTS KANSAS CITY ANNOUNCE 2015 TELEVISION SCHEDULE

KANSAS CITY, MO (February 26, 2015) – The and FOX Sports Kansas City today announced a 154-game schedule for the 2015 season, featuring four exhibition games and 150 regular season contests.

The Royals and FOX Sports Kansas City are entering the eighth season of an agreement in which FOX Sports Kansas City is the exclusive television home of Royals . The 150- game regular season television schedule features 74 road games and 76 from . Every game on FOX Sports Kansas City will be preceded by a 30-minute pre-game show, “Hy-Vee Royals Live,” and followed by the “Boulevard Royals Live” post-game show. While at home, both the pre and post-game shows will originate from FOX Sports Kansas City’s new location on the left field concourse adjacent to the Royals Hall of Fame.

FOX Sports Kansas City will broadcast four Spring Training games, up from two in previous years. Coverage of Royals baseball kicks off with a telecast from Surprise, Ariz., on Wednesday, March 25, when the Royals host the Chicago White Sox at 8:05 p.m. (CDT). A second game from Surprise will be broadcast on Friday, March 27, when Kansas City hosts the , also at 8:05 p.m. (CDT). FOX Sports Kansas City will air Cactus League road games against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday, March 28, at 3:05 p.m. (CDT) and on Tuesday, March 31, when the Royals visit the San Diego Padres in Peoria for a 9:05 p.m. (CDT) start, in partnership with FOX Sports Arizona and FOX Sports San Diego, respectively.

FSKC will air Kansas City’s Opening Day contest on April 6 from Kauffman Stadium as the Royals begin their American League title defense with a 3:10 start against the White Sox. Live pregame coverage will start at 2:00 p.m. as part of a full day of Royals programming.

Ryan Lefebvre and provide the play-by-play for Royals games on FOX Sports Kansas City. will return for his fourth season as the analyst and Royals’ Hall of Famer, Jeff Montgomery, will provide analysis throughout the season on Royals Live with host Joel Goldberg.

Viewership for Royals telecasts on FOX Sports Kansas City reached an all-time high in 2014, according to Nielsen Media Research, and ratings have increased each of the last four seasons. Royals telecasts were the highest-rated and most-viewed prime time programming on television in Kansas City during the 2014 MLB season (March 31-September 28).
