Addis Full day sightseeing Mount Entoto will be a commencing of your city tour. It is a historical place where Emperor Menelik II resided and built his palace when he came from Ankober and founded Addis Ababa. It is considered a sacred mountain and has many monasteries. It is situated at an altitude of between 2,600 and 3,100 meters. You will have a magnificent view of the city. Then, you will drive to the National Museum. The museum houses the nation’s artistic treasures as well as many of the most precious archaeological finds such as the fossilized remains of early hominids, the most famous of which is “Lucy,” the partial skeleton of a specimen of Australopithecus afarensis. The well-known Lucy is said to be 3.2 million years old.

After visiting the museum, you will drive to Trinity cathedral Church. This church is the highest ranking Orthodox cathedral in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It was built to commemorate Ethiopia’s liberation from Italian occupation and is the second most important place of worship in Ethiopia, after the Church of Our Lady Mary of Zion in Axum.

Shortly after having your lunch and a little refreshment, you will head to the enthralling Ethnological museumset within Haile Selassie’s former palace which is surrounded by the beautiful gardens and fountains of Addis Ababa University’s main campus. These seven lakes are rich in nature and are particularly abundant with bird life. Lake Langano is the only one somewhat developed for tourism and safe for swimming, boating, water skiing, and fishing and just for recreation. Lakes Abijata and Shala constitute a national park of the same name. Although only a 3 km strip of land separates them, the two lakes are quite different. Shala, the southern lake is enclosed in a 266 m deep crater while Abijata is a large shallow brackish lake no more than 14 m deep. Shala is mostly inaccessible, except for its eastern shores with steaming hot springs, hot enough for instant cooking. After your visit drive back to Addis. Overnight on your own arrangement

Day 01: Fly Addis to Arbaminch/visit the Dorze Village (~ 515 km & ~ 9 hrs.) This morning, you will be transferred to the airport to catch your flight to Arba Minch. Arba Minch is named for the numerous local springs that produce a groundwater forest. In Amharic, Arbaminch means “forty springs.” The town itself is divided into two distinct settlements. Buses and taxis connect Shecha (on higher ground) and downtown Sikela. Shecha is the uptown administrative center. Just two and a half miles away is Sikela, home to the commercial, industrial, and downtown residential areas. On the eastern side of Sikela lies the gate to Nechisar National Park, which covers the isthmus between Lake Abaya to the north and Lake Chamo to the south. Following will be “Debarq” the pin point or headquarters of the park, where you will be assigned a scout. Once the scout has been designated, you will be driven to “BuyitRas” view point. Once there, the trek will commence and will end at “Chilqwanit”, the following view point, where the car will be waiting for you arrived ahead of your finish (the average duration of the trek is approximately an hour). From “Chilqwanit” a drive to “Sanqaber” (view point) is next. Then from “Sanqaber” to “JimbarFalls”.
