This promises to be another special summer for the BlueClaws, the Township of Lakewood, the Jersey Shore, the Phillies organization, and you, our great fans. My name is Art Matin, managing partner of Shore Town Baseball. As you may know, Shore Town Baseball acquired operating interest of the BlueClaws late in the 2017 season and this year is our second full season as partners. From the minute we came on board, the entire community has been overwhelming in their support, and we are just as excited today as we continue to build the BlueClaws as we were when we started this process. Our pledge remains the same - to keep the BlueClaws as the Shore’s leader in affordable, family entertainment. Last year, we opened a brand-new Mini Golf Course down the right field line, the Toyota World of Lakewood Home Run Pavilion in centerfield, a new Biergarten down the left field line, as well as upgrading the HVAC system on the Luxury Suite level. This year, we have made substantial improvements to our Picnic Areas. These improvements include enhanced seating, both in quality and view, upgraded menus, and other fan amenities. Further, the BlueClaws are thrilled to participate in Minor League Baseball’s Copa de la Diversion program this year as we bring the Medusas de Lakewood to life. We will be celebrating the best in Hispanic culture and heritage across four games this summer with special food items, live music, and more. We have additional information included in this program or at BlueClaws.com/Copa. I would like to thank our tremendous Corporate Partners, without whom we would not be able to do all we can for you, the fans. Our Corporate Partners have been incredibly supportive over the entirety of the BlueClaws and we are honored to have built such relationships. Additionally, we thank business leaders around the Shore and our municipal and state leaders including senator Robert Singer and Lakewood Mayor Ray Coles. We would also like to thank our partners with the Phillies, and wish them the best this season. Finally, we’d like to thank you, our great fans. The two decades of support you have shown the BlueClaws is something we are honored to have received and something we will continue to strive to earn moving into the future. PLAY BALL!
