The flu virus can travel through the air when a person coughs or sneezes. When you cough or sneeze you should: * Turn away from other people * Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve * Use disposable tissues rather than a handkerchief (which could store the virus) * Put used tissues into the nearest bin, rather than a pocket or handbag * Wash your hands, or use an alcohol hand rub, as soon as possible afterwards. 2. Access emails and chat online. 32 How We Communicate Communication between GCA/UBSS and students is VERY important. Like all large educational institutions in Australia GCA uses technology to communicate with students. 33 1. MyGCA Bulletins . Bulletins are sent out so you don’t miss something important. MyGCA makes you open your new bulletin each time you log into your MyGCA account. Once you have read the bulletin you can then access your MyGCA account. PLEASE NOTE: the time and date you open the bulletin is recorded in our Journal. Old bulletins are archived so you can refer to them later if you need to. 34 2. Webmail All students have an email account: [email protected] One of the main forms of communication at GCA colleges is via EMAIL e.g. information about re-sit exams, academic progress warnings, excursion notices, emailing assignments, job opportunities, events, etc. 35 3. SMS • Provide your mobile phone number via MyGCA and we will send you text messages. • Text messages are very useful for urgent messages that we might need to send you. • Urgent messages include changes to timetables, exams, etc. 36 4. TV Monitors Our TV Monitors are strategically placed on campus. They provide: • Important reminders on dates. • 24 hour surveillance. • Words of Wisdom for inspiration. • How to pay your fees. • How to book appointments. • Information regarding surveys. • Trimester dates • And lots more …. 37 4. Doctors are registered with the Australian government and will have a Medicare Provider Number. When you visit your Doctor ask for a medical certificate. Apply for Medical Leave via MyGCA / Student Services Online / Support Services / Approved Leave UPLOAD YOUR MEDICAL CERTIFICATE and other documents where applicable.     Pitt Street Over Station Development CONCEPT STATE SIGNIFICANT DEVELOPMENT APPLICATION ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT OVERVIEW AUGUST 2018 The Pitt Street integrated station development will better connect our global city, with new places to live, work and Sydney Metro is Australia’s biggest public transport project. This new stand–alone railway will deliver 31 metro stations and 66 kilometres of new metro rail, revolutionising the way play in the heart of Sydney. Australia’s biggest city travels. Joining other great global mass transit development initiatives, the NSW Government has identified stations on the Sydney Metro system which can be better integrated with the areas around them, creating world-class places that will shape our city’s future. Pitt Street Station has been identified as a prime location for an integrated station development. The Pitt Street integrated station development is made up of Pitt Street Station and two separate building proposals above the new station entries. These buildings will be located on the corner of Pitt and Park streets and on the corner of Pitt and Bathurst streets. The Pitt Street integrated station development will connect people with employment, transport and some of Sydney’s key destinations. It will be a hive of commerce and lifestyle opportunities, with new homes and hotel spaces. As the new metro station is built underground, the integrated station development can be built above it at the same time. This helps reduce community impacts, and allows for the buildings to be completed close to when Sydney Metro City & Southwest services start in 2024. Sydney Metro received planning approval for Pitt Street Station in January 2017, and is now seeking two concept State Significant Development approvals for the buildings above the north and the south entrances to the station, these are also known as over station developments.

The Sydney metropolitan area accommodates 64% of the state’s retail space with the remaining 36% located within regional NSW. • Growth in retail spending in NSW for the 12 months to May 2007 was 4.78%, up from 2.88% the previous year. Whilst this represents a strong increase on the previous years growth, it continues to lag the Australian total 5-year average of 5.93%. • Despite sluggish growth in the state economy and in retail spending, the NSW retail sector managed a healthy total return of 17.27% for the year to March 2007 (PCA/IPD), supported by low vacancy rates underpinning steady rental growth, a pick up in retail spending and yield compression on the back of strong investor demand across all retail asset classes. • Rental growth was experienced across all retail asset classes in the 12 months to July 2007. Sub-regional centres experienced the strongest growth with net rents increasing 4.2%. Bulky goods centres faired the worst with rents increasing just 1.8% over the period. Incentive levels remained tight across all retail asset classes. • A total of 302,000 sq m of new retail space is due to enter the market in 2007, before surging in 2008 when a further 593,000 sq m is due for completion.
