Ohio Lions Las Vegas News FRIDAY JUNE 29, 2018 Volume 1 Issue 1 2018 Las Vegas Convention Kicks Off Special points of interest: • Parade kicks off tomorrow morn- ing at 8:30 AM • International Show is tomorrow night at 7:00PM in the MGM Grand Garden Arena. • First Plenary session is Sunday morning at 9:30am in the MGM Grand Garden Arena. CELEBRATE in LAS VEGAS - 2018 The 2018 Lions International Convention Host Committee is working hard to provide attendees an enjoyable and memorable experience in Las Vegas, Nevada. In addi- tion to experiencing a first-rate convention, attendees can take advantage of the many attractions offered by the Entertainment Capital of the World. Whether inter- Ohio Lions Headquarters: ested in shows, world class cuisine, shopping, gaming, or local excursions there are plenty of options for everyone. Attendees may stay at the MGM or other properties within walking distance of the MGM Convention Center. 614-561-1308 RV travelers enjoy special rates at the Oasis RV Resort which is located a short distance from the convention center. The Oasis is the premier RV Park in the city with a beautiful pool Luxor Hotel and many resort attractions. Las Vegas will be hot during the convention so bring your sunscreen and cool clothing. The parade will be held in “Downtown” Las Vegas in the morning to minimize impact of the sum- Council Chairman mer heat. The parade terminates at the Fremont Street Experience which is a “must see”. Campaign to Elect PCC Steve Thornton International Director: We will be needing 7 people for Friday afternoon after 3:00 p.m. to 5:00p.m. to hand out materials at the Garden Arena (2 upstairs and 2 on the lower level) and 3 people outside the Marquee Ball- room. Saturday—we will wait until after the parade to pass out materials at the Garden Arena and Marquee Ballroom from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. 7 people needed for that shift as well. .
