English Review Workshop Mr. Peralta held a workshop open to all students on January 25th. The goal of the work- shop was to review how to write effective topic sentences for essays. Although only four students attended, Mr. Peralta says that the workshop was largely productive. Student Support Services and the Tutoring Center offer several workshops during the semester, if you have a suggestion for a workshop topic contact one of the SSS Staff. By Sebastian Henderson

Budget Friendly Valentine’s Day Valentine’s Day is a day notoriously known for spending money on, or doing something special for your sig- nificant other. Although many people go way out on Valentine’s Day, there are many affordable dates you can plan to do if you are on a budget. There any many things you can do to save money like: arcade or game night, indoor camping, movie date, or Pinterest night. I recently took a survey and found that between those four ideas, many people chose indoor camping. What is indoor camping? Indoor camping can be as simple as channeling your inner child and building a blanket fort, or as complex as actually setting up a tent in your living room. Not only is building a blanket fort fun in itself, but you can also make s’mores and watch movies in your tent. Although indoor camping won the survey, there are many other options you can do with your significant other to make your Valentine’s Day special. By Jordan Schoenberger
