In what seems to be a never -ending string of purchases, American Radio Systems announced it will buy EZ Communications for cash and stock valued at $655 million. ARS will pay EZ 0.9 shares of its.Class A common stock along with $11.75 in cash for each of EZ's 9.6 million shares. The deal gives ARS 96 radio stations in 20 markets. EZ's Chairman Art Kellar, along with President /CEO Alan Box will join the ARS Board. Box becomes EVP and will handle acquisitions for the new company.
