Orlando Park News Roundup June 26 - July 2 Orlando Park News Roundup June 26 - July 2 Saturday 26 June 2021 Universal Orlando Resort Bring Back It’s Daily Parade On Saturday Universal Orlando Resort announced that it is bringing back it’s fan favourite Superstars Parade.The parade hasn’t been offered to guests since March 2020, although floats have appeared regularly in distanced pop up meet and greet this will be the first full parade since the global pandemic. Tuesday 29 June 2021 Casey’s Corner Set To Reopen On June 30 2021 On Tuesday Walt Disney World Resort announced that Casey’s Corner on Main Street USA at the Magic Kingdom is set to reopen on June 30 2021 with their classic all-beef hot dogs and so many more. Plaza Ice Cream Parlor Set To Reopen On July 7 2021 On Tuesday Walt Disney World Resort announced that Plaza Ice Cream Parlor on Main Street USA at the Magic Kingdom is set to reopen on July 7 2021. Guests Will be able to once again get the hand scooped ice cream. Wednesday 30 June 2021 RunDisney Is Back In Person Starting This Fall On Wednesday RunDisney announced that in person races are set to return to Walt Disney World Resort this fall. Currently there are 4 races scheduled for Walt Disney World and they are. Disney’s Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend November 4 - November 7 2021 January 5 - January 9 2022 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend RunDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend February 24 - February 27 2022 March 31 - April 3 2022 The 2021 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend will be themed to Wickedly Delicious which will celebrate our favorite Disney Villains. Then Looking into 2022 the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort and the Princess half marathon will celebrate the courage and kindness of your favorite Disney Princesses. Walt Disney World Resort Announces The 2022-2023 Ambassadors Raevon Redding and Ali Manion are the two new Walt Disney World Resort Ambassadors and will be representing the Walt Disney World Resort and its Cast Members for the next two years. Of course, Raevon and Ali will be the Walt Disney World Ambassadors throughout the 50th-anniversary celebrations of Walt Disney World. Disney Dining Plan Will Return To Walt Disney World On Wednesday Disney announced that the Disney Dining plan will return to the resort soon. Disney Said Disney dining plan packages will return. While we’re not quite ready to share an update on timing, we are planning to bring this guest-favorite option back at a later date. We will also continue to reopen more Resort offerings, including restaurants like ‘Ohana (with the noodles!). Extended Evening Hours for Disney Resort Guests On Wednesday Disney also announced that a new version of Extra Magic Hours will begin October 1 2021. Disney will be rolling out a new early theme park entry benefit for Disney Resort hotel guests and guests of other select hotels, giving them the first chance to enjoy select attractions. Back at your Disney Resort hotel, you’ll enjoy even more magic! During the celebration, be on the lookout for surprise appearances by some favorite Disney pals like Goofy and Pluto, who will be dressed in their EARidescent best and dropping by to visit with guests at Disney Resort hotels! Thursday 1 July 2021 New Coco Scene Being Added To Mickey’s PhilharMagic On Thursday Disney announced that a new Coco scene will be added to Mickey’s PhilharMagic around the world. The new scene will be added to Disney’s California Adventure and Disneyland Paris on July 17 2021 and will be added to the Magic Kingdom at a later date but will happen before the 50th anniversary. Winter Summerland Mini Golf Reopening On Thursday Disney announced that Guests can begin with the Summer Course on Thursday July 1 2021, and the Winter Course on Saturday July 3 2021. Walk-ups are welcome, or Guests may book a tee time for the next day or beyond by calling (407) WDW-PLAY (407-939-7529). Holidays At Universal Orlando Returning This Year On Thursday Universal Orlando Resort announced that Holiday’s At Universal Orlando will be returning this year from November 13 until January 2 2022. Universal have not yet announced any other major details other than the dates of this year's event. (March 22, 2013) – After celebrating its 20th anniversary earlier this year, the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend presented by Cigna is getting even bigger next year and is offering runners another challenge that will be, well, Dopey. The 2014 Disney Marathon Weekend, Jan. 8-12, will expand to five days and will include a 10K, along with the Family Fun Run 5K, the Disney Half Marathon, the Disney Marathon and Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge. That creates the opportunity for an unparalleled proposition in the running industry:The Dopey Challenge – running all four timed events in successive days (48.6 miles) for the chance to earn an unprecedented six medals.
