This airport is well-connected through regular flights from important Indian cities like Chandigarh, Delhi and Kullu. Another airport is Bhuntar Airport in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh which is 58 km away. By Train Palampur has its own railway station - Palampur Railway Station which connects it to important cities of Himachal Pradesh. This railway station lies on the major Palampur - Kangra Valley Narrow gauge railhead, connecting Palampur to Pathankot and Kangra. Pathankot is the next nearest railway station, located at a distance of 113 km. Taxis are available from outside the railway stations. By Road Palampur is well connected by a network of roads to most neighbouring areas and important destinations in Himachal Pradesh. State run buses ply on a regular basis to Palampur from Pathankot, Mandi, Dharamshala, Joginder nagar, Shimla, Chandigarh, Gurdaspur, Sandhole etc. Delhi is also connected to Palampur by HRTC buses. Private Space - Titli ( 1 Bedroom ) Titli, a spacious room on the ground floor of Seclude Palampur opens to the lounge and a private dining area allocated for you. It comes with a four-poster king size bed, HD TV, a dressing table and an en suite bathroom. With an independent entrance, you get to enjoy absolute exclusivity and privacy on your holiday here. Private Space - Patanga, Jugnu & Bhanwra ( 3 Bedrooms ) The 3 rooms on the first floor of Seclude Palampur – Patanga, Jugnu and Bhanwra can be booked as a private space. All the 3 rooms consist of en suite bathrooms and access to the first floor balcony along with a private dining area on the ground floor with a separate entrance. All these exclusively for guests booking this private holiday space. Private Space - Red Cedar Cottage ( 1 Bedroom ) This unique cottage is situated 200 meters from the main property. Built of locally available materials like mud, straw, wood and bamboo, this bedroom comes with a king size bed, en suite bathroom and can accommodate an extra mattress (additional cost) It has a cedar tree inside the cot- tage and a private veranda. The dining area for this cottage will be the veranda. However, if the weather is inclement the dining arrangement will be done inside the cottage. Please don’t use the bed for dining purpose. Since, it’s a stand alone cottage, your privacy and exclusivity are already taken care of. WHO GUIDELINES AND PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES Seclude places the well being of everyone as their top priority and has therefore adapted the following measures as per WHO, Hospitality Industry and the local authorities during these tough times. Spaces are being setup keeping social distancing in mind, so that you don’t have to share your private holiday space with any other guest Entrance to all private holiday spaces is private All entrances and outside areas are sanitized with a disinfectant on a regular basis All high touch points are cleaned frequently with alcohol and sodium hypochlorite solution All our property managers have been trained by qualified medical professionals to ensure that all necessary steps for COVID prevention are being followed Body temperature of all staff members is monitored on a regular basis and they wear face masks at all times Sanitizers have been placed at entrances and critical contact points and all staff members wash their hands with soap and water frequently Travel history of all guests is taken at the time of booking Guests have to wear face masks and their body temperature is taken at the time of check in. This is the only way to guarantee the reservation. Required security deposits for bookings also need to be prepaid in order to guarantee the reservation. Processing of refunds: For bookings with deposits, a full inspection of the accommodation(s) needs to be done before property authorization for refund is sent to the Head Office. From the time a refund is authorized by the Head Office, Seclude takes up to 10 working days to process a refund. Arrival: Check-in time: 2 pm Check-out time: 12 noon Seclude properties range from two rooms to fifteen rooms and due to the popularity of our brand are normally fully booked. Though we’d like to accommodate requests for early check-ins and late check-out, it is rare for us to be able to do so (additional charges below). Early check-in is subject to availability and cannot be confirmed in advance. Extra charges apply as below: Before 6 am: 100% charges for one day as per Rack Rate for the room of the previous day*. Between 6 am -12 noon: 30% charges as per Rack Rate for the room of the previous day*. Between 12 noon - 2 pm: Complimentary*. *based on availability, and prior notification/payment. Late Check-ins: Seclude properties do not have a 24hour reception/front desk. In order to provide our guests with the best service possible and consider the well-being of our staff, our services pause at 10 pm to resume at 8 am the next day. We have a strict, all staff retire by 11 pm policy so that they recharged and ready to serve our guests the following day. There are no late check-ins after 10 pm. (Our kitchen takes the last order at 10 pm as well). Advance requests will be considered on a case by case basis with charges starting at Rs. 1000/- for making special arrange- ments for check-ins after 10pm. Late Check-outs: We require our guests to check-out no later than 12 noon, to ensure that we have adequate time to prepare the room for our next guests. We appreciate your thoughtfulness and courtesy towards the incoming Seclude guests. Between 12 noon - 5pm: 30% charges as per Rack Rate for the room of the next day*. After 5 pm: 100% charges for one day as per Rack Rate for the room of the next day*. *based on availability, and prior notification/payment. Our guests play a big role in helping us provide the level of hospitality associated with the Seclude brand. We appreciate their cooperation and understanding. Hukkah in the rooms is not allowed (Hukkah is not allowed on any property in Himachal Pradesh - as per government regulations). There is no room service for meals - only a limited snack menu at select locations. All homestyle meals are served in the dining area during the time stated on the menu. There is a minimum of Rs. 1000/ surcharge for advance requests for serving a meal in any other area (outside of the dining room) - available only at the Managers’ discretion during regular meal hours. No outside food is permitted.Guests do not have access to our kitchen and are not allowed to cook on property. Seclude properties have standardized menu and fully staffed kitchens. In addition, specially curated meals are available for groups with advance notification/planning. We care about your well being, if you have special needs, food allergies etc, please notify us in advance. We can discuss the possibili- ties to accommodate your dietary requirements. Our last order for food is 10pm, and all staff retire by 11pm.

Finally, we combined the academic best practices and our analysis to create a set of recommendations for sustainable development at potential ecotourism sites in Himachal Pradesh.
