After staff reports have been distributed, if Gary D. Consider Application for Variance from Separate Water Meter Requirement for Multi-Family Housing Project at 1193 Broadway, Seaside (APNS: 012-191-001, 002, 003, 004, 013, 016, 017, 021, 022, 023, 024, 025, 028, and 029) Action: The Board will consider the request for a variance from the separate water meter requirement for the proposed Seaside Ascent Broadway project. 11. Consider Adoption of Resolution 2020-12, A Resolution of the Board of Directors of the Monterey Peninsula Water Management District Seeking Authorization to Activate Latent District Powers and to Adopt A Sphere of Influence Amendment and Annexation Action: The Board will consider adoption of Resolution 2020-02 that would authorize the District to file an application with LAFCO for authorization to activate its latent powers for operation of the Monterey Water System, and to obtain a boundary adjustment. ACTION ITEMS – Public comment will be received. Please limit your comment to three (3) minutes per item 12. Consider Adoption of an Addendum to the District’s Prior ASR Environmental Impact Report for Construction of a Bypass Pipeline to Allow Simultaneous Pure Water Monterey Recovery and ASR Injection (Subject to CEQA Review per CEQA Guideline Sections 15162 and 15164) Action: The Board will consider adoption of Resolution 2020-13 that would adopt Addendum 6 to the ASR EIR/EA.     ALABAMA Lt. Governor Will Ainsworth Lieutenant Governor Will Ainsworth is a father, husband, and small business owner from Marshall County. Prior to entering public service, he worked as a youth pastor at Albertville’s Grace Fellowship Church and was a co-founder of Dream Ranch, one of the most recognized hunting and fishing lodges in the United States. He currently operates the annual Tennessee Valley Hunting and Fishing Expo, which draws more than 20,000 attendees each year. In 2014, Lt. Gov. Ainsworth felt the call to serve his community through elected office and won a seat in the Alabama House of Representatives, where he was a champion of public education, farming, and family values issues. Keeping a self-imposed legislative term limit promise, Ainsworth declared his candidacy for lieutenant governor in 2018 and received the most votes of any candidate for constitutional office on the general election ballot. Ainsworth, who is committed to providing quality public education to Alabama’s schoolchildren, is a strong supporter of the state’s nationally-recognized “First Class” prekindergarten program, which provides young learners with the skills and foundational knowledge necessary to excel in their K – 12 education.
