Your efforts are still required!

On Saturday, April 24, we had the first of four litter pick up days in Aurora. Even though we were competing with the popular Chamber of Commerce Home Show and a number of other community events that day, we believe that more than 500 residents participated to some degree in litter pick up around Town, and it shows. Mario Gosselin of Miller Waste advises me 2.79 tons of lit- ter and roadside waste were picked up that day!

These bags every 10 to15 feet along the Vandorf Sideroad, thanks to Heidi Schellhorn and her group of volunteers, demonstrated to me the whole reason why we need your help in keeping our Town clean. Letters to the Editor Unfortunately, along that same road just a week later I saw this disgusting example of how someone simply picked an area by the road in a quieter part of Town to dump waste.
