Minutes of the University of Idaho Panhellenic Council April 7, 2020 The regular meeting was called to order by Panhellenic President Kylie Smith at 6:04p.m. In the Panorama room in the ISUB at the University of Idaho. The roll was called by Vice President Communications Ashlyn Schiers. A quorum was present. ROLL CALL: (y) (y) (y) (y) (y) (y) (y) (y) (y) (y) GUESTS: None PREVIOUS MINUTES APPROVAL: March 3, 2020 OFFICER REPORTS President: Kylie Smith — [email protected] • PHC Presidents Meeting Updates o Sign-up sheet for Phired up (company that gives out programming to Greek Life) for any chapter interested in programming from them and a debrief of the presidents meeting being sent out • Update & Reminders Amid COVID-19 o Interim suspension press release sent out – no socials, off-campus parties should be happening. This impacts the whole community. VP Judicial Affairs: Sydney Petrehn — [email protected] • Judicial Board Applications deadline extended until April 17. • I have received at least one application from a member of: o Alpha Gamma Delta o Alpha Phi o Delta Delta Delta o Delta Zeta o Kappa Alpha Theta o Kappa Kappa Gamma o Gamma Phi Beta o Pi Beta Phi • Please encourage your members to still apply, I will also email people personally if you give me their contact info. o DG and KD please send ideas to people that would be good for the position to Sidney VP Internal Recruitment: Evelyn Avitia — [email protected] • Recruitment August 15-18 o Work Week August 9-14 ▪ Still planning these dates currently • Finalizing recruitment rules o Finalize and sent out next week • Conversation Day Shirts o Recruitment chairs should be getting those next week VP External Recruitment: Emily Branham— [email protected] • Continuation of Rho Gamma Training o Thursday April 9 through zoom VP of Scholarship: Katelyn Gliege -—[email protected] • Resources for Quarantine Students o Covid info, sisterhood ideas, recruitment tips, mental health sites, zoom tips o Other topics you want covered contact Katelyn o Should be done and available Wednesday night VP Philanthropy and Service: Audrey Dingel – [email protected] • Greek Wide Vandal Pantry Philanthropy o Houses and individuals ▪ Chapters can utilize extra money they have to donate or individuals can donate to the vandal pantry • Decorating doors o Greek wide philanthropy- thank you for essential workers o Encourage chapter members to participate, post on social media and tag PHC and Idaho Greek life VP Member Development: Ciara Drake — [email protected] • Update on Panhellenic programming requirement o 2 required won’t go into effect o If chapter did fulfil theirs it will be pushed to account for the fall o If you completed two it is still required to do an alcohol 101 programming in the fall with all of your new members • Update on Panhellenic sisterhood requirement o Sister houses: if you didn’t do it won’t affect you but if you did it will count for next semester VP Public Relations: Hailee Gabbard—[email protected] • Panhellenic newsletter will be sent out hopefully this week • Greek week postponed until Fall • Senior Appreciation week starting April 13th o Highlight individual seniors, each day is a different chapter • Panhellenic Live event April 25th 2-4pm o Each chapter gets 10-20 minutes to talk and highlight their chapter o Hopefully presidents or recruitment chair (someone who represents your chapter well) o Sign up will be sent out soon o Time can be used for what ever you would like VP Finance: Alyssa Genther-— [email protected] • None VP Communications: Ashlyn Schiers — [email protected] • All events are on the calendar • Link to bylaws, recruitment rules etc. Panhellenic Council Advisors: Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life: Nick O’Neal: [email protected] • He appreciates you all and cares for you and hopes you are doing well.
