The Puddledub Show The Puddledub “Christmas Jumper” Inhand, Youngstock & Baby Ridden Show Saturday, 15 December 2018 at Netherton EC, Bridge of Earn, PH2 9NE Organiser/Secretary: Miss Fiona Reed Bankhead Puddledub Auchtertool Fife KY2 5XA Mobile: 07714 702417 Entries close: 7th December 2018 (Postal) and 11th December (Online) (Entries also taken on the day) Hello All!! Now into our sixth year, and have travelled around a bit, and this year, mainly because the Caledonian Showing Championship was a bit later we have gone into December, which of course is just crying ot for a Christmas theme!! So, for a bit of fun, we are running it as a Christmas Jumper Show, with no need to get your smart tweeds or collar and tie out, but can dress nice and cosily in your festive woollies. This is not compulory, but hope that many will enter into the festive spirit and a prize or rosette will be awarded to the judge’s choice of jumper in each class. As always we have tried to include classes for all types and breeds of horses and ponies, so there should be something for everyone. We haven’t reduced or deleted any classes from previous year’s schedules, but are aware that some sections and classes will have low or no entries, but we wish to make sure that every breed and type of every age has at least one class they are eligible for. Because we are only a couple of weeks away from 3 year olds officially becoming 4 year old we have added a few ridden classes to cater for true babies that are newly broken and could benefit from a really low-key outing Any horse/pony may enter more than class if eligible but only one class in each inhand section. We hope to see lots of you and your baby horses and ponies before you all totally hibernate for the winter, or put your horses and ponies onto holiday mode over Christmas and New Year ....... and you never know, if everyone has been very very good then we might even get a visit from Santa! JUDGES Gavin Ingram (Comalegy Stud), Huntly Sherlene Murray (Deanburn Stud & Gems Welsh Ponies), Elgin All classes will run in one ring and follow on in numerical order, and be judged by one or other of our two judges for the day, or possibly co-judged. If anyone cannot go under either judge for any reason of connection of pony, handler or owner then please advice the secretary/organiser and that judge will stand down from that class/section Although there may appear to be an incredibly large number of classes to be judged in one ring on one day, we are aware that by offering such a wide range of classes across the sections, that there will be several classes during the day with no entries and some with low entries, so the day will infact move forward at a nice speed and we won’t be home too late. If however there are more entries than expected we have the option of using the second indoor school and will judge a section or two in there to speed things up if need be ENTRY FEES By Closing Date - Postal (7th December 2018) £12 per class By Online Closing Date - through Entrymaster (11th December 2018) £12 per class On The Day Entries (CASH ONLY) £16 per class Online Transaction Fee £1.50 There will be no specific First Aider in attendance, so no fee for this, and by entering and signing the entry form competitors are declaring they accept this ON THE DAY ENTRIES BY CASH ONLY Special rosettes for the greatest Christmas Jumpers and for the Fluffiest, Furriest Horses and Ponies Caledonian Showing Championships Now established as “the” go to end of season Championship Show in Scotland, with a great atmosphere, wonderful rosettes, prizes and sashes, with leading judges from the showing world. Highfield @ Howe EC, Fife – 12/13 October 2019 Classes for all, with Evening Performances, loads of bling and razzmatazz .... everything an end of season Championship should have! This Show is a qualifier and every horse & pony placed 1st to 3rd will qualify to compete at the Finals. • List of Horse Breeds 1 List of Horse Breeds
List of horse breeds 1 List of horse breeds This page is a list of horse and pony breeds, and also includes terms used to describe types of horse that are not breeds but are commonly mistaken for breeds. While there is no scientifically accepted definition of the term "breed,"[1] a breed is defined generally as having distinct true-breeding characteristics over a number of generations; its members may be called "purebred". In most cases, bloodlines of horse breeds are recorded with a breed registry. However, in horses, the concept is somewhat flexible, as open stud books are created for developing horse breeds that are not yet fully true-breeding. Registries also are considered the authority as to whether a given breed is listed as Light or saddle horse breeds a "horse" or a "pony". There are also a number of "color breed", sport horse, and gaited horse registries for horses with various phenotypes or other traits, which admit any animal fitting a given set of physical characteristics, even if there is little or no evidence of the trait being a true-breeding characteristic. Other recording entities or specialty organizations may recognize horses from multiple breeds, thus, for the purposes of this article, such animals are classified as a "type" rather than a "breed". The breeds and types listed here are those that already have a Wikipedia article. For a more extensive list, see the List of all horse breeds in DAD-IS. Heavy or draft horse breeds For additional information, see horse breed, horse breeding and the individual articles listed below.
