Promotion for Brisbane Lions AFLW Home Games at Hickey Park Terms and Conditions for ‘Park Inside 50’ Promotion for Brisbane Lions AFLW Home Games at Hickey Park. 1. Information on how to enter and prizes form a part of these Terms and Conditions. If there is any conflict between these Terms and Conditions and any other published material, these Terms and Conditions prevail. 2. The Promoter is the Brisbane Lions Australian Football Club, Hyundai Centre, Level 5, Gate 2, 812 Stanley Street Woolloongabba, Queensland 4102, ABN 43 054 263 473. 3. The Promotion will open at 9.00am AEST on Wednesday 22nd January 2020 and closes at 11.00am AEST, Monday, 9th March 2020. 4. Entries are open to all Australian residents that meet the eligibility requirements in Clause 5 and must be lodged by the Close Time of the draw via the entry form located at www.lions.com.au/footymadebetter. Each entry relates to the selected AFLW game only and will not be eligible for future games. Therefore a new entry is required for each game. 5. To be eligible to enter, entrants must be over the age of 18, and do the following: 5.1. complete all the necessary information fields in the online entry form at www.lions.com.au/footymadebetter, including telling us ‘what would make your experience at the footy even better?’; and 5.2. Be a current and financial 2020 Brisbane Lions Member (of either our Women’s or Men’s teams) 6. The ‘Winners’ will be the most creative entry as selected by The Promoter, in its absolute discretion, which describe in 25 words or less the following: ‘Tell us what would make your experience at the footy even better’. 7. Thirty (30) Winners will be notified prior to each respective Brisbane Lions AFLW Home Game played at Hickey Park. There is a maximum total of 60 Winners in this promotion (i.e. 30 Car Park spaces for each of the 3 games played at the venue). The Draw Schedule below outlines when the 30 Winners for each Round will be drawn and notified, prior to each Brisbane Lions AFLW Home Game. 2020 BRISBANE LIONS AFLW DATE / CLOSE TIME FOR DATE / TIME WHEN THE 30 RD HOME ENTRIES TO BE SUBMITTED WINNERS FOR EACH GAME GAME AT HICKEY PARK FOR EACH ROUND WILL BE DRAWN 10.00am AEST, 12.00pm AEST, 4 Brisbane Lions v GWS Giants (Sunday, 1 March 2020) Monday 24 February 2020 Monday 24 February 2020 10.00am AEST, 12.00pm AEST, 6 Brisbane Lions v Collingwood (Saturday, 14 March 2020) Monday 9 March 2020 Monday 9 March 2020 8. The Prize each winner will receive is the use of one (1) car park space, to the maximum dimensions of 2m wide by 3.5m long, located in close proximity to the Wilston Grange Football Club (Winner will be advised of the exact location by The Promoter). 9. Entry to the Car Park will be open from 2pm for Rounds 1 and 4 and at 12noon for the Round 6 game. Upon the start of the Game / “Bounce” of the Home Games (at 4.10pm for Round 4 and 2.10pm for Round 6), the Car Park will be deemed closed and no further entry will be permitted. If a winner of a car park space does not access the car park before it is closed, then the prize is forfeited. 10. Winners must do the following in order to enter the Car Park for the Round they have won a carparking space: 10.1. Provide printed proof you are a valid Winner for the respective game (which will be issued by The Promoter by email); 10.2. Be driving the vehicle registered for the carpark; 10.3. Print and display the parking signage issued by The Promoter on entry to the Car Park and display in your vehicle at the said Home Game. 10.4. Follow instructions of The Promoter’s staff or representatives at all times; 11. An individual may only enter this promotion once for each game. 12. Winners will be notified on the above mentioned dates, by email. 13. Each of the Winners must make their own way, at their own cost, to and from Wilston Grange Football Club, to attend the AFLW Brisbane Lions Home Game they are selected for. Entry to the game will be free of charge. 14. The total value prize pool is valued at $600. 15. The Prize is not transferable. Should the drawn Winners not be able to attend the assigned Home Game, The Promoter will re-draw the prize. 16. Winners will be notified at time of draw by email. 17. The Brisbane Lions will contact the Winners with all details pertaining to The Prize, including parking pass, entry and maps, prior to the Home Game. 18. Directors, staff, Associates and immediate family members of either Brisbane Lions Australian Football Club or Hyundai are ineligible to win the prize. 19. The Brisbane Lions has a Privacy Policy. Where we collect your personal information we will act in accordance with that Policy. The Promoter reserves the right to vary these terms and conditions at any time prior to the draw. 21. The decision of The Promoter is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 22. The Winners agree to abide by the Brisbane Lions Conditions of Entry to the Car Park. 23. If you do not accept the Conditions of Entry to the Brisbane Lions Australian Football Club Car Parking, per clause 25, you must not enter the Car Park. 24. By entering this competition, you agree to receive communications from the Brisbane Lions and Brisbane Lions’ corporate partners. 25. BRISBANE LIONS AUSTRALIAN FOOTBALL CLUB CAR PARKING Important Notice - Please read the following “Conditions of Use of Car Park” before proceeding to park vehicle. - If you are unwilling to park your vehicle on such conditions please do not enter the car park. CONDITIONS OF USE OF CAR PARK 25.1. Authority to use the car park is a licence that the proprietor has an absolute discretion to revoke at any time without notice. 25.2. Any employee, servant or agent of the proprietor may exercise the rights and descriptions conferred on the proprietor by these conditions. 25.3. The customer agrees to use the car park at the customer’s risk and releases the proprietor to the full extent permitted by law from all claims, demands, actions or suits whatsoever by the customer resulting from any death or injury to any persons, or loss or damage to any vehicle or goods or property, or arising directly or indirectly from the customer’s use of or presence in the car park whether such death, injury or loss was caused or contributed to by the proprietor, their servants or agents or any vehicle or otherwise. 25.4. The customer shall at all times while in the car park comply with all signs placed in the car park by the proprietor and with all directions and requests that may be made by the proprietor or their agent in respect of the car park or any vehicle or person therein. 25.5. The proprietor may close the car park at a discretionary time following any major event. Cars not removed prior to closure of the car park will be accessible thereafter during normal business hours only. 25.6. In these conditions: a. “The proprietor” – Brisbane Lions AFC, PO Box 1535, Coorparoo DC QLD 4151. b. “The car park” – At the Car Park for which this ticket is issued (as stated in correspondence from issued by the promoter, via email. c. “The customer” – Shall be deemed to be the agent of the owner, lessor, lessee or hirer of the motor vehicle as the case may be.     PINEAPPLE HOTEL CUP E-FOOTY RECORD ROUND 12 E-Footy RECORD 28th June 2008 Issue 12 Editorial with Marty King AFL QUEENSLAND: STRICT ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY ON RACIAL VILIFICATION It disappoints me to have to remind people that the AFL and AFL Queensland has a strict zero tolerance policy on racial vilifi cation. There have been a couple of unsavoury incidents lately, spread across the fi rst and second divisions of the State League competition, which are simply unacceptable. Under no circumstances will this sort of behavior be tolerated because there is no place for this sort of thing in our game, and AFL Queensland will do whatever it takes to ensure that the perpetrators are suitably reprimanded. This is a cornerstone of what State League football is all about. It is a family-oriented competition which should operate in an environment of respect and responsibility. AFLQ is no different to the AFL, which prides itself on setting behavioural standards that are benchmarks for the general society. It is why the AFL implements and takes very seriously things like the Code of Conduct, and general standards that relate to racial and religious vilifi cation and responsible consumption of alcohol. It is imperative that these values are upheld right across the competition, and so I appeal to all involved with AFL Queensland to do the right thing and to speak up if you are witnesses to inappropriate behavior. The overwhelming majority of people do the right thing all the time. They come to the football with their family or friends, they enjoy the contest and the atmosphere, they barrack for their team in good-natured fun, and they conduct themselves appropriately.

Despite the best intentions it is a month since we last issued a newsletter—well and truly overdue. Firstly, welcome to all our latest arrivals to join the Gorillas. Over the last several weeks many of you will have welcomed new comers to your team. We have on aver- age been registering 2-3 players per week since games started. Our numbers have reached a staggering 277 players, of these 80 plus are new to the Gorillas. Teams in each competition are starting to settle down. The grading of youth teams finally settled last week so more of the draw has been released with games until the holidays for all age groups. Dear Players, Parents, Members, Sponsors, Supporters and Life Members of the Wilston Grange Gorillas Australian Rules Football Club, We are writing to you as Presidents of both the Junior and Senior Clubs to further reinforce the importance of and the reasons why we are so insistent on everyone associated with our club (large and small alike) becoming a formal contributor to the Wilston-Grange Gorillas by signing up as a member at www.gorillas.com.au/membership. (Please note, that youth/junior subs paid for kids to play footy do not include WG Gorillas club membership for parents/caregivers). Firstly though, let us apprise you of some important facts and milestones: In the last five (5) years, the Junior and Senior clubs have individually and collectively achieved the following: The Senior Club has successfully: • re-joined the QAFL competition (the States premier competition) after a 25 years absence which now offers defined pathways for our junior and youth players to play at the highest level in community football……..without leaving our great club! • implemented a Masters (over 45 yrs) and Supers (over 33 years) program at the club, which currently comprises over 60 participants • implemented a senior female AFL team at the club which participates in the QWAFL, the State’s highest level competition for female AFL. We presently have45 participants • implemented the new u19s - COLTS, one of only 15 teams in the state.
