TOMÉ ELEMENTARY UNIFORM DRESS CODE What May Be Worn: “YES” What May Not Be Worn: “NO” Pants: Docker style only Bottoms: Must fit at the waist (no more than one (1) size larger than the Denim pants (jeans) waist) Cargo pants Standard leg size (no more than six (6) inches wide) Stretch pants Must be hemmed Capri/peddle pusher pants Length must be no longer than mid heel Sweat pants or athletic gear Acceptable solid colors: black, blue (navy, royal), white and khaki Nylon/parachute pants Acceptable materials: cotton and corduroy Torn or shredded jeans Overalls Bell bottom pants No baggy pants Shirts: Plain style sleeved polo or button-up style shirts Shirts: Must be worn tucked in at the waist Absolutely no prints, stripes or multi-colored shirts Must be of the size appropriate to fit the student (not No shirts with spaghetti straps baggy/saggy, or worn extra large). for the classroom Colorful Crystals & By Michael HarbridgeClay hen I started doing ceramics 40 years ago, many unusual glazes and finishes existed that you simply don’t see any longer. Raise Wyour hand if you remember Dust Away colors. Utopia glazes, anyone? And how about those red glazes that rarely turned out unless you applied them perfectly! Reds have come a long way and are now easy to use. Dust Away colors are missed, but the dust they created probably was not the healthiest. And thank goodness Utopia glazes went away! Now, who remembers crystal glazes? Back in the day, no macramé hanger was complete without chunky beads and matching pots with bright, colorful crystal glaze finishes. It was like magic in the kiln when these flowing, mysterious glazes erupted with color in the firing process. I think we had a different color frog scrubby holder for every day of the week. I know some of you are having flashbacks! While crystal glazes have never entirely gone away, they’ve certainly made a resurgence recently. Over the past 40 years, many crystal fin- ishes were discontinued. Ceramichrome (I’m dating myself here) introduced Jungle Gems, and artists thought they were the most amazing product. But it was new to the artists that were new to ceramics. I recall Mayco introducing Elements Chunkies, and suddenly they had invented this remarkable new line that could be combined with other products to give rich, flowing pottery finishes. It was a brilliant way to market, well, crystal glazes. Duncan recently added new neon crystal glazes.

By compiling top searches, we are able to render a strong representation of the population and gain insight into this population’s behavior. In our second iteration of the Google Fashion Trends Report, we are excited to introduce data from multiple markets. This report focuses on apparel trends from the United States and United Kingdom to enable a better understanding of how trends spread and behaviors emerge across the two markets. We first removed any seasonal effect, and then measured the year-over-year growth, velocity, and acceleration for each search query. Based on these metrics, we were able to classify the queries into similar trend patterns. We then curated the most significant trends to illustrate interesting shifts in behavior. Stalinka Oles Ulianenko Part One Legs splayed, nostrils flaring, stumbling ceaselessly like a sleepwalker inside the sweaty, wide-mouthed sewer pipe (dead silence above), Lopata was first to catch sight of the clamoring sun through the small dark opening. He let out a faint moo-oo, like a calf might, and with great effort (an “oh-h- ah-h” ripping out of his numb lips), he stretched out his arms; that futile shout, that “oh-h-ah-h” wrenched out of the darkness, was lost in the noise of splashing water; Lopata wiped the saliva off his chin, croaked something through the yellowed stumps of rotting teeth, nervously tugged at his chin with withered fingers, and, puffing and hissing, grabbed hold of the metal pipe as he stumbled and fell into a pool of brown mush. Lord kept moving forward after him, and landed on top of Lopata’s hunched, sagging spine. On the cobblestones of the inverted shell of the city—imagined as the faded canvas of an evening sky—crisp footsteps bouncing like pellets off the cobblestones resounded annoyingly but nonetheless happily, clattering in a sound new for Lord, as if by the sea the whoosh from an emptied seashell: a clock striking in a tower and the arteries of emptied city streets flowing with an oozing slush, the rustle of damp newspapers, and bright elongated bands of light; when he and Lopata had set out on their escape the rain was already pelting from all sides, thus Lord’s stunted, disordered memory, preening in its two hemispheres, foggy with haloperidol, stirred in the early autumn downpour, and, in the beginning of the end, unwound in the narrow strip of the corridor; as he fled, Lord saw that corridor before his eyes, that freshly- painted corridor, and it restored his ability to think.

The freshman women's dormitory looked a bit foreboding due to the cool and cloudy September day. Rose Seiler and her mom and dad--laden with piles of bedding--walked into the building and quickly looked for an elevator. They were in luck as they saw the elevator doors open. Soon they were headed to the third floor, room 305 near the end of the hall. Rose was beginning her college career at Oklahoma City University this very week! Nerves, excitement, and anticipation filled Rose as she walked into her dorm room. It was so small! How would she ever get all her belongings into these tiny spaces and also leave room for her roommate whom had yet to arrive.
