Diskomat formed during 35 years a department within Lorentzen & Wettre (formed in 1916) and became an independent subsidiary in 1990. In May 1997 the company was acquired by Gösta Torssell, who continues to operate the company in its earlier form and with the same staff, whom over the years have accumulated a unique know how of dishwashing systems. To retain and develop this know how new staff has been added to form a basis for growth. Since Wexiödisk was formed 30 years ago, Wexiödisk and Diskomat have co-operated very closely to integrate Wexiödisk-dishwashers in these systems. Our Service- and assembly engineers have long experience of their work. The company consists of • Managing Director • 4 Senior Marketing/Sales engineers • 3 Project leaders / Design engineers • 4 Service and Assembly Engineers • 2 Administrators Technical resources • Auto CAD 2010 and Inventor (3D)-system in a network with e-mail link. • Stainless steel components are manufactured, to our design, by sub-suppliers. • Diskomat has its own workshop where all systems are assembled and tested before they are shipped to the end user. • Our own assembly engineers install our systems and commission them on site including training of local service staff and operators. Diskomat as a company is focusing on four business areas when making dishwashing systems. - In Flight Catering - Staff Canteens/Food Courts/Schools - Hospitals - Hotels/Restaurants Each operation has its special needs a Flight Catering Unit is mostly used more or less 24 hours a day all year round compared to a school or staff canteen that is mostly used just once a day 5 days a week. Diskomat has during the 50 years in the industry developed both methods and products for each of the above mentioned areas. From fairly “simple” dishwashing areas were equipment such as stainless steel tabling is used to automated dishwashing areas where for instance conveyors, loaders , robots and other types of automated equipment is used. All dishwashing areas from Diskomat have the following in common: - Hygiene, the design and construction should make it possible for maintaining a high hygiene standard. - Ergonomics, with ergonomic equipment the staff avoids injuries and can work more productive. - Energy savings, this includes chemical, electricity (gas, steam) Sand water. - Product Life Cycle Cost, with the high quality and the optimised use of the equipment the total cost for a Diskomat dishwashing area is taken down to low levels. - Low Staff Cost, the dishwashing areas are planned to use a minimum of staff. This reduces the cost for staff to a minimum.
