What an amazing Christmas Craft Fayre – our best ever! There are so many people to thank…Ali, Jo & Linda who worked in school all day, preparing, all the staff who contributed in so many ways, the children for making such beautiful items to sell, all the parents & friends who came & gave so generously. We raised just over £1 300!! Thank you so much! Each class will be spending money on maths games, to make learning even more fun! St. Mary’s Church of England Primary School & Nursery Newsletter 11 9q th News for parents, pupils and friends of the school 9 December 2015 Nativity 2015: A huge THANK YOU to the parents who brought the children to represent St Mary’s at the Radstock Methodist Church for their Christmas service last Sunday. The children performed really well, sang like angels, behaved impeccably (as usual) and brought smiles to the whole congregation. Well done Alexander, Ella, Cicely & Cordelia, Denisa & Daria, Spencer, Rhiannon, Cole, Ben, Daisy & Molly, Gethin, Leo & Kaitlin, Leah, Alanis & Mylee St. Mary’s Church of England Primary School & Nursery Newsletter 11 9q th News for parents, pupils and friends of the school 9 December 2015 Classes 4 and 5 at Bath Abbey It was amazing to be part of the Bath and North East Somerset Carol Service in Bath Abbey on Monday. The children, again, did us proud and enjoyed singing carols written especially for the performance. Listening to the live music and impressive pipe organ in such beautiful surroundings was a special experience. St Mary’s ‘Got Talent’ The show will take place during the morning of Wednesday 16th December (children only – sorry parents) but in order to raise money the School Council ask that each child brings in a donation for Asthma UK - they will then receive a GOLDEN TICKET to attend the ‘show’. Classes will be collecting for their golden tickets from Monday 14th December. Messages & reminders… Don’t forget – you are all invited to the last Fridays’ free Family Dance session! 3.15 – 4.00 in the hall Change to the advertised school lunch menu for December: instead of Cheese and Potato Pie, Macaroni Cheese will be served All children must have school PE kit on their peg at all times. PE is part of the statutory curriculum. All children must take part. They will ruin their school clothes if they do not change, apart from being unhygienic and totally inappropriate/unsafe. Please help to ensure they can take part…without resorting to wearing lost property! .

It outlines the action we will take to reduce the concentrations of nitrogen dioxide (NO 2) in the villages of Farrington Gurney and Temple Cloud in Bath and North East Somerset between 2020 and 2025. This is the first action plan for Farrington Gurney and Temple Cloud following the declaration of Air Quality Management Areas in August 2018. Air pollution is associated with a number of adverse health impacts. It is recognised as a contributing factor in the onset of heart disease and cancer. Additionally, air pollution particularly affects the most vulnerable in society: children and older people, and those with heart and lung conditions. There is also often a strong correlation with equalities issues, because areas with poor air quality are also often the less affluent areas 1,2. Bath and North East Somerset Council is committed to reducing the exposure of people in Bath and North East Somerset to poor air quality in order to improve health.
