Markle Kennesaw State University Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice 1000 Chastain Rd. MD 2204 SO Bldg. 22 Rm. 4071 Kennesaw, GA 30144 USA Abstract Using social contract theory as a foundation I examined the ways in which four multinational corporations use disclosures of corporate social responsibility to present themselves as good corporate citizens. Several factors influence a corporation’s use of CSR: size of the corporation, public visibility, personal commitment of high ranking executives, location of manufacturing operations, and types of stakeholders. There is a significant difference in the responsibilities and obligations Proctor & Gamble, Kimberly-Clark, and Colgate-Palmolive ascribe to themselves as corporate citizens compared to those of SC Johnson. I attribute this difference to one of stakeholder accountability, specifically public shareholders.

  • Patient, Caregiver, and the Healthcare Environment
Protecting the PATIENT, CAREGIVER, AND THE HEALTHCARE ENVIRONMENT As a leader in skincare, floor, and surface products, SC Johnson Professional has introduced a number of world - first innovations that will help your facility feel like home. THE IMPORTANCE OF PATIENT AND HAND HYGIENE • According to the CDC, 1 to 3 million serious infections occur every year in Long Term Care facilities.1 • Up to 65% of Nursing Home Residents can harbor drug-resistant organisms.2 • Cost for hospitalization from infections in Nursing homes range from $637 million to $2 billion annually3 Many organizations like the CDC, Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA) and Safer Healthcare Now recognize the role that chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG) can play in a comprehensive care bundle. Reason, normal soap and water does not have the immediate and persistent antimicrobial effect of CHG, which helps reduce the risk of transmission of pathogens, including drug resistant bacteria4. Best of all, it is easy to apply, use and is cost-effective. CHG solution baths are cost effective5,6 Cost saving of up to 74% can be realized by using CHG solution approach 6 over pre-packaged CHG Wipes (based upon a study published in 2014) 1. www.cdc.gov/longtermcare/index.html 2. www.usatoday.com/story/news/health/2019/04/12/superbugs-washing-special-soap-combats-antibiotic-resistant-bugs/3445695002 3. • 2021 the Brandspark Most Trusted Awards Given Across 167 Consumer Product Categories Based on Survey of 17,990 Consumers
BrandSpark International Announces Most Trusted Consumer Product Brands for 2021 The BrandSpark Most Trusted Awards Given Across 167 Consumer Product Categories Based on Survey of 17,990 Consumers NEW YORK, NY (February 23, 2021) – Leading market research firm BrandSpark International today announced the 2021 winners of the BrandSpark Most Trusted Awards (“BMTA”) for everyday consumer product brands. The winners were selected based on a survey of 17,990 U.S. shoppers who shared their thoughts on which brands they trust the most and reasons for that trust. The BrandSpark Most Trusted Awards program helps shoppers make purchase decisions and identify brands they can trust based on the experience of thousands of other consumers. “With the pandemic and fragile economy, consumers are more cautious than ever about what they are bringing into their homes,” said Robert Levy, President and CEO of BrandSpark International. “So, right now, building a bridge of trust is more important than ever for brands. The BrandSpark Most Trusted Awards seal has been a visual reminder of that trust for 8 years.
