Targeted capacity building programmes on mitigation and adaptation contribute to raise the awareness of more than 300 local and regional policy makers, supporting them in the establishment of ambitious long- term objectives on energy and climate topics, towards 2030 and 2050 EU targets: peer-learning activities on integrated energy, sustainable urban mobility, land use planning and innovative financing solution
on adaptation: through shared methodologies to define climate baseline and risk and vulnerability to climate change to better orient the urban planning of municipalities, to support them to become a key player for sustainable energy and adaptation to climate change EMPOWERING RESULTS LIFE SEC ADAPT RESULTS
Learning results from capacity building and peer-learning activities are used to build a shared vision on energy and climate issues, standardize the Strategic Innovative Planning Model and support the involved municipalities to shape 78 tailored and effective SE(C)APs. In particular:

For what concern mitigation, the elaboration of SECAPs brings the following estimated impacts:
Energy savings triggered by the project within its duration: 1550 (Primary energy savings triggered - GWh/year)
Renewable Energy production triggered by the project within its: 191 (Renewable Energy production triggered - GWh/year) 10 new adhesions while the projets implementation Signed at the “Covenant of Mayors – Regional best practices and financing opportunities towards 2030 objectives” (held in Brussels last 7th February 2019)
