After making the model, die casting is prepared with siliceous sand and is molded. Then, the desired part is melted in to the furnace and is poured in to the mold cavity. Once it has been solidified, it can be used in turning and finishing. This process is used for industrial machinery, car products, petro chemistry, oil industry and transportation. Modeling Workshop Generally, casting parts which are used in industry begin from modeling. Models produced in a modeling workshop are first designed and made of wood. To produce models, devices such as a chain saw, a multi purpose plane, a circular abrasive for finishing and a wood turning device to turn circular objects are used. The wood turning device is used to produce modeling parts that a sample of which is shown below. This process is used in automobile manufacturing sheet work industries and in manual and delicate industries as well. This process is conducted by using acetylene gas and oxygen to melt the parts and the joint is done through welding rods on both sides of the part. CO2 Weld: MIG- MAG Welding process: This process is done by using electrical current with protective gas which is mostly used in industrial production and thin parts. This process has a wide range of usages in automated manufacturing companies for mass production and in automotive industries as well. Available Devices in Welding Workshop Resistance welding appliance Welding is a process of joining thin sheets by using high electrical current which is held between two jaws or electrodes while the spot joint is done. This process is mostly used in producing cabin parts, metal boxes and chassis and body in automotive industries. CO2 Welding Appliance MIG- MAG MPSAW (metal powder SAW) This process is very important and has a wide range of usages in heavy industries such as bridge construction and thick metal structures. In this process thick parts can be welded in a constant welding operation through a single welding move. In this process protective powder is used. Non- destructive Tests Lab Metallographic Microscope This device has a high magnification which is usually used for steel structure analysis, such as permit and format structures are analyzed. Ultrasonic Device (UT) This device has a wide range of usages that the most important of them is in welding structures that by emission of ultrasonic waves, the lops (lack of penetration) and lofs (lack of fusion) in welded points especially in penetrative welds can be examined. Bending Fatigue Device It is the most important device in industry especially automotive industry. Usually a dumbbell- shaped steel sample, after standardization is fixed from one side and is placed inside the device. Then, the device begins to rotate. The other side which is which is loose is loaded by unit weights and after a while the sample gets fatigue crack which is the desired point. Plastic twister This device has a fixture on which the sample is mounted and the other side has a fixture that when it turns the sample starts turning too until it is deformed from elastic shape in to plastic one which is called force.
